This is my 2nd router. You can see the 1st one I built here: • My home built 3 axis c...
This one has a few improvements:
Gearing on all axis
Water-cooled 2.2Kw spindle
Dust extraction with a floating dust foot
Smaller steppers, better driver
Vacuum hold down pods
Full Mach3 control of spindle speed & direction, water pump, dust extraction
BTW, sorry for the poor video recording

I used chain on the first few machines, then switched to poly belts. Accuracy of both is very good, and cut quality appears no worse that production machines, as long as you make sure you use correct mill bits and select appropriate feeds and speeds....

There are plywood and steel kits for sale on my website. Have a look at xyz-cnc.com One of the best things about the kits is that you can build the machine as big as you want without spending thousands on rails and rack
