Both front door panels on mine are cracked, as well as the handle trim piece. This video gives me confidence to replace them myself, looks like a straight forward job.
Thank you! This was very helpful; I have a 2012 Fit also. The rear doors come off almost exactly the same way, except there are two gray screws behind the armrest panel instead of one.
Thank you so much for this great video! You are very clear on what to do and highlight each so it is very easy to follow. Many thanks for your much appreciated efforts for us all. Now I know I can replace the master power switch on my FIT myself! Good show!!!
Thanks again for another very helpful video. By the way have you ever done a video on how to replace the door actuator on this specific car? Thanks again for all your time and effort
I had to replace my passenger door window after some degenerate smashed it; this made getting the panel off a breeze instead of a headache trying to figure out which direction to pull this or that without breaking it. Thank you!
Thanks for this. I just did this on a Matrix to replace the mirror and was wondering how it is done on my Fit. It was similar and easy on the Toyota as the handle and lock stay with the door. It was hard to get the panel back on though. It is helpful to see videos like this to prevent breaking fragile plastic parts.
Thank you Miguel! Your video gave me the confidence to replace my own drivers side window! Definitely took a bit (the grey electrical clip on my car was pretty stuck in) but the rest was a breeze thanks to your tutorial 😁
So the short story... I use that little side pocket as an ashtray.... I don't think it takes a lot of imagination to figure out what happened from there. Thanks Man. I owe you a beer.
Hey Thank you for doing this video. Can we get rid off that Black cloth on the panel (I've beige one and gets dirty) to rexine to make the cleaning easy?
A good clear instruction video. The fabric covered panels on my City 2000 door panels have disintegrated and the fabric is hanging off. How do I remove these panels from the door panels to recover them?
Hi thinking about doing some sound deadening in my fit. I saw that there's some white foam on the inside of the door panel. What is that? or what would you recommend?
I seem to be in the minority, but this did not go well for me. My door panel did not come off easily. Only 2 of the clips came off with it, and the other 8? 10? stayed in the door. There was no way to get them out without ruining them. I had to take it to Honda and they charged me $160 to put it back on. I had removed it to see if a speaker wire was loose. There was nothing behind the door, so the entire exercise was useless and cost me $160 plus my day driving to the dealership. ☹️ If the panel doesn't come off easily, you might want to stop there.
DIY: Car Modz thanks for the quick response as always. Is that OEM? I'm trying to replace my girlfriend's. I guess I can just reupholster her current one.
