Love circle skirts but hate hemming? Great! Me too lol Today I show you how to take an ordinary round table cloth and turn it into a circle skirt! The first thing we do is grab a 70 inch round table cloth, a 2 or 2 1/2 inch elastic and your sewing machine, that's it! No buttons or zippers! Then find the measurements for your hips, because we're using elastic the hole in the skirt needs to be able to go over your hips, then take that measurement and divide it by 6.28. Whatever the measurement comes out to that's the radius you'll use to make your opening. Don't forget seam allowance! If your radius is 7 then cut at 6 1/2, I forgot to do this but it's ok to have a little more room. Then measure your waist, whatever that is subtract around 5 inches and double check to make sure that feels comfortable around your waist and then cut and sew together. I show you in the video much like my underwear video how to attach your elastic and your table cloth together.
I hope you enjoy this video and if you'd kindly give us a Like we'd appreciate it or if you want to stick around and see the other neat ideas I'll be doing hit the subscribe button!
