Wow! That’s ambitious!!! It would look awesome I am sure! However I have no idea how much yarn you would need. My largest one, the dark blue tube took about a half a large ball of yarn. Hope that helps. Happy crafting!
I know it's been awhile but the piece of yarn that the laid down on the tube and wrapped around did you by chance pull that every now and then when it was getting to fully covered or did you just continue to cover and leave it? I've been pulling mine and I'm afraid I'm doing it wrong
It has been a while since I made this. But I was not too picky with the yarn jut lightly pushed it back as I went. My niece just made one and some of the yarn overlaps each other and it still looks great! The one thing to note if you do it without wire the arch at the top may be harder to create. Even if you have already made it you could add the wire to the back to give it a little more strength. Another place to find wire would be at a hardware store. Happy Crafting Savanna!
