Updated my small home cinema with some lighted crown moulding and I'm in love!!
Supplies used:
-Primed MDF (3/4in x 1.5 in x 8 ft)
-Primed Pine Crown Moulding - 8 ft

WOW, Lexis Shantell! You & your mom did an incredible job putting together the lighting and crown moulding. And you did it so accurate & precise, which is great because you didn't have to do any re-cuts or re-measuring. All in all I love how awesome it turned out to be. Loveeee this, this is my first time seeing this! Also I know details like crown moulding add value to your home. I honestly thought the process of adding it would be way more difficult, but it seems pretty straight forward based on your tutorial. Also I’m team white door since it matches the trim near your floor!

I love your room! It's so cute! I do this sort of thing for a living, and wow! I can tell you don't but you really did well! Super intelligent and you got it going on with the DIY and ingenuity. Lots of respect for you. It is easier if you put up the LED lights before the crown moulding. It gives you more freedom and a more open working area. You did a great job.

First of all, congratulations on buying your first home at a young age. I thought it would be more difficult to do crown molding and you guys did a great job. I'm paying to do my master bedroom. I'd tackle it myself if I had help.

Wow decent. You know you can make a hole in the wall behind the cm and a hole near the outlet and fish the lights behind the wall. Also do this for a TV. Theres an outlet cover with a circle in the center at a home depot. 🙏✌

When you watch TV sitting on the couch with the indirect lighting on, do you see it reflected in the TV? I ask because I noticed your TV is mounted high on the wall and is vertical, and most conventional couch seating is low. This puts your viewing angle upward.

Thank goodness! For anyone else with an expensive home theater room, I suggest consider holding up a test piece (4ft long) of the lighted LED moulding at night to verify no reflection occurs...before starting a project like this.
