These DIY natural lip balm are the perfect way to take care of your lips especially with the colder season in full swing. They also make a great gift for the fast approaching Christmas holidays.
INGREDIENTS:
-100 x g lemon balm/mint
-100 x ml olive oil
-beeswax (ratio 1:3 after double boiling olive oil and herbs)
-10 x drops vitamin e-oil
INSTRUCTIONS 🥣💄
Blend or chop the herbs with oil.
Add them to a heat-resistant jar and double boil for 2 hours, ensuring it's simmering, not boiling.
After that, strain it using muslin and let the liquid rest for a minimum of 4 hours (we let it sit overnight) so the oil separates from the water.
Once ready, slowly pour it into another jar, being careful not to include the water.
Grate some beeswax in a 1:3 ratio to the liquid.
Double boil until the wax melts.
Let it cool for a few minutes and add the essential oil.
Mix well and transfer to your chosen container.
We don’t use essential oils in this recipe, but if you'd like a stronger aroma, you can add a few drops of peppermint essential oil.

OP claiming the guy is a genius for doing what humans have made for thousands of years is the same thing as someone in Kindergarten claiming a teacher is a genius for knowing how to multiply. Credit where credit is due, he is smart and knows how to market and is generously showing us the skills he learns. That does not equate him to a genius, inventing new ideas and changing the world. If anything it's a regression of skills, as we're going back to what our ancestors did before the industrial revolution "plasticked" and "chemicaled" everything.

@@cringeneer5490 I have come to believe that I have no gardening touch. I have had 5 plants dead under my supervision. I had a neighbor, who left her plants at my place for a 1 week and that week was really stressful for me. Everyday I prayed for the health of those 🪴. That is why I am all the more amazed by this man. And congratulations to you for making the efforts!

Mint oil is terrible if you have psoriasis/psoriatic arthritis 😭 just a heads up, aquaphor + bactene gel are the way to go if you've got either of the two. Found this out the hard way

That will mold faster than a normal lip balm. Vitamin E isn’t a good enough prevent to make up for the mint particulates in the balm. It’s better to use mint oil instead.
