We made a Live well out of a 55 gallon barrel cut in half. We re-used the top of the barrel as a lid to help prevent water from splashing out while transporting it. We plan on using to bring fish from other ponds to our pond to help stock it with adult fish.

I have used a floor freezer that was approximately 9 feet long and 3feet high. Used it to hold perch for catching large Blue and Yellow catfish.

If you’ll add a filter between the supply line you’d have the perfect bait tank,they are sold at Walmart it’s what you use for your house

how did you cut this in half with a smooth edge? What tools did you use? How did you make a cut that is exactly half?

How many time you can mantain a fish alive with just recirculation of the same water??

It looks like he would refill with water for each time of trip that he needs to do (eg load up and unload fish, since he mentions that he wants to dump the water out, not just catch fish and dump them out)

What's the measurements on the drum? The finished product? I have a drum ima try this on but I don't want to cut too far down. Lol

Mr. Builder, I don't think you would want to run this for days. an aquarium pump would be better for long term.

how u connect the wire to the adapter?

Michael Anderson, I just used a couple of wire nuts to twist and hold the wires together.
