How to install premade fence panels quick and easy no digging no concrete. Tip jar/ Donations can be made here to help me provide everyone more DIY videos: www.paypal.com/paypalme/8bitF...
Hello for everyone who is skeptical about the strength of the this type of fence its stronger than you think. My personal fence at home is built similar and still standing strong after 7 years no issues. Would a pole with concrete feel stronger? Yes it would but that doesn't mean this type of fence wont work this fence is designed for people on a BUDGET. To build a fence with poles concreted the traditional way, you will spend at least 3 times as much money/time after labor and materials. I have built plenty of fences with and without concrete and they are all still standing any who doubts me is welcome to come see this exact fence in the video located in Casper WY which has brutal winters and high wind and see that it has absolutely no issues. That being said if you have no budget restrictions then a tradition fence with concrete might make more sense for you.
What a lot of people don't realize is that poles with concrete bases are more prone to shifting over time in colder climates. That is why so many installations are moving to crush gravel under the post and dirt to keep it secure. Less prone to moving. I don't see anything wrong with the structure of what you have done here. Maybe not pleasing to the eye for people who want a pure wood fence, but this will work.
Can I use a hammer to hit the pole under the ground will it work putting a piece of wood and hitting it so that it can go down in case the land is so hard
Just one question... How come you didn't ask him if he called his local free service to look for. power... Phone... Natural gas... Water... cables... Fiber-optic... liquid gas lines... Oil lines... ETC... ETC.. ETC..
@@rkb6783 The real question is why would you assume he didn't. I know what is under my property, I didn't come to this video to find that out. If you're doing this work for a customer you should already know this stuff not learning it from a RU-vid video.
He needs to be RU-vid's Spokesman. What a to the point, but interesting, step by step, without all the bird watching, the neighbor's dog visiting, etc. Great tutorial video!!
Okay, what a comment this is! I am renting a house next month and would like to have a fence for my dogs. This just solidifies the idea being worth it.
Nice video! Definitely cap the metal posts if u live where it rains. Water goes inside post and eventually loosens dirt away at bottom causing a loose post and weakened structure. I learned this the hard way myself so I would always recommend caps to keep water out of metal posts. Fence looks great and I'm going with your idea when I build my own! Thank u!!!!
Looking to put a fence in the backyard & just happen to come across this video..... this is such a great idea, no digging, no concrete!!! Thanks for sharing.
the metal post and the metal hardware cost little more than 4x4 treated lumber and cement, but no digging saves on labor. and they last longer. and you can pull it out and move it, if needed. also, when the 4x4 eventually rot away and need to be replaced, it is extremely difficult to get that cement block out of ground.
This Is a great idea! About to have to build a fence at a house I’m moving into. I’m 52 and was Not looking forward to digging fence post holes. I’m gonna try this. Thanks for the video and idea!
I used to do fencing many decades ago (LOL) and I always used concrete,, well they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks but that just did!! Congrats!!!
Ed Smith concrete is was and always will be the best. A neighbor had a 100" section of fence put in and got the lowest bidder to do the work. No concrete. The fence looks like a long S now
I’ve built lots of fences with the 4x4 post and I never use concrete, just drop them in at least 3ft. I love the ideal of metal post because the wood you get these days is garbage. Great video man!
@@bryanalldaffer9541 You'd need a ladder to get high enough to drive the posts in. Unless you use a hole digger to get down a couple feet, maybe finish with a post driver.
This seems to be straight forward, straight to the point fencing job. That I can definitely appreciate. A lot of pipe went into the ground so the strength in going to be there. This is like digging a hole and backfilling with dirt but without digging the hole. Thank you for taking the time to make and share this video.
mac daddy that’s so rude and mean. What if the home owners see this? You’re probably hideous and I’m sure ppl would love to tell you that. But I’m sure they don’t because of class. Maybe something you should get
I need to build a 4’ gated enclosure around my pool ladder to pass for county inspection. This is going to be the easiest way to get around this without having to buy a whole new gated ladder. Thanks man!
They make different size metal "plugs" that fit inside the post and then they are a full size larger than the pipe, similar to a flat top mushroom. This will prevent damage to the fence post when you are driving it into the ground. I have a 45 pound 2 cycle fence post driver and I always use the plug for each post. Then you do not have to go back and cut the damage off later. BTW great video. I understand you are showing us the economical way to do it. Thanks. Be safe.
The caps aren't just for looks! It's so rain water doesn't just sit in the post when there's concrete filling the hole. Mosquitoes will breed there and it will cause your post to lean.
Yesssss!! I want privacy around my fire pit so I can moonbath naked. I kept having visions of ideas and one was for steel posts, and 3 floating wood panels creating a triangle. I have to be able to do it all my myself because my partner works 50+ hours a week. You and your video have literally brought my vision to a real possibility. And like another commenter mentioned it can be removed if the next people hate it. Thank you so much!! I will post a video of my process and mention you. 🙏🏻❤
I think its a great idea for a fence on a budget or maybe not on a budget. Not everyone has access to post hold diggers. Its easy enough to cover up the fence post too. Great video.
@@anothersoulx1 , no I didn't. I wound up just making the fence myself, 1 board at a time. I have hurt shoulders, and carrying a large section like that turned out to be a deal killer. The fence turned out great, regardless! It kept the next door neighbor guys from hanging out in the driveway of my flip house, which sold for a nice profit. Good fences make for better neighbors!
thanks for the tips going to redo the fence on our home we purchased but will moving is very expensive. So the fence needs to be on a budget & safe for the little ones
I want to thank you so much for this video! I went out and bought everything at menards yesterday, coincidently. I just had a very crazy neighbor moved in next door so I thought a fence would be a good idea! I ran across your video today and I'm headed out to start on it now. Thank you for your simple instructions. I will update and let you know how it turned out.
Thank you for great video. My sister has wanted this exact fence and I just didn't know how to do it until I watched this video. I'll let you know how it turns out. Matt
Bro, you should have capped those posts rain will fill them up and drain into ground around the post below the ground could cause issues. Otherwise nice job.
@Rogeball PB I agree. It's a fence just for the sake of having a fence. It provides no privacy and a good wind would blow it over. There were a few comments about putting caps on, probably the least of the problems here, but due to the installation, caps are not even a possibility.
