So, This will be at least the 7th Shanty item I've built in my home in the past 6 months. Between the plans and the videos, you two are helping way more people than you can imagine. You ladies have my friends and family thinking I'm the man. People think I have WAY more skills than I do. Keep these designs coming.
I just finished number one. Number 2 is coming this weekend. This was surprisingly simple. Lots of pieces that made me nervous in terms of cuts and measurements, but if you cut true...so simple! Now, we have to decide what stain to use.
Wow, I have so much respect for people who can DIY from scratch! I just did a nightstand DIY on my channel but it was using wood crates from the craft store but there's something about seeing some bad ass ladies with power tools!!!
Awesome build ladies. Simple, clean and easy to follow. Love your shop, tools and the way you lay projects out. Even us guys that grew up learning woodworking in shop, scouts etc. are learning from you. 👍🏻
Just built 2 of these, made a slight change by adding a larger drawer in the bottom instead of it being open. Also building a Chic Dresser also with a slight change, it is 4 drawers with them being 36 inches wide which leaves the Queen bed the last to build so that the whole set matches. You forgot to mention that with the 3/4 inch hard wood that these get a little heavy. lol . Great work you ladies do and thanks for the free easy to follow plans.
Thanks ladies this build is exactly what I need! I have been searching for this type of nightstand for about a year now and either the stain is off, are ridiculously overpriced, made of poor quality, or not sleek enough for my clean line obsession 😊. Now I just need someone to build it for me 🤔😁
I’ve been looking for night stands and can’t find exactly what I want. You ladies have inspired me to try this project even though it has a drawer! 😁 nice work as always!
Thanks for sharing. I'm really in love with this nightstand and want to build our own! Is the overall width of the nightstand 32 inches? If we build two of it and put on the both side of a king bed, do you think it would be too wide? Thanks.
Love you guys! Thanks so much for doing what you do! Question, do you have any sound deadening panels in your shop there? If not, they would probably help a ton. On the walls and the ceiling of you don't have an acoustic ceiling. They are super easy to make and cool to decorate!
I have a question, what's the high of the two side pieces of wood where the drawer is going to sit on, since it's not been specified on the Drawings? Please thank,. By the great I love your videos and you guys ROCK!
Can you please do a video over the student desk you did for your son's room? My boys love it and it would help so much to see a video over how its put together.
What kind of stapler and brad nailer are you using? Is it the 18 gauge brad nailer from Ryobi and the 18 gauge air strike cordless crown stapler from Ryobi?
something went wrong with my kregs clamp I cannot get it to clamp. I saw one of you adjust a screw. I tried that but still not clamping. I haven't used it very much. i wonder if they will take it back or tell me how to adjust it so it will clamp.
love the video's i am curious though why you never use clamps while screwing in the pocket holes. I know with my luck stuff would shift if i didnt use them.
Maybe someone can answer this. But they say they use briarsmoke stain. I’ve recently used some and on the same type of wood and mine came out much darker. And I did a fast coat. On and right off. Maybe someone knows a little trick to get it that light?
Hey girls! Awesome nightstand! Just curious why you attached the top with nails instead of attaching with pocket holes so you could hide it on the top surface? Another great video!
You can do that, but it's a bit of a squeeze getting the drill in there once everything is put together, and the nail holes didn't bother us! Hope that helps :-)
Hey! I double-checked the plans and it is there... It leaves a 7 3/4" space between the top board and the 2x2. It's step 2 on the plans... Hope this helps!
Team Gamer Girl we are but we are still posting a new, free plan every week on our website! We wanted to give ourselves more freedom to do more in-depth plans that we couldn’t fit in a RU-vid video!
Girls, if I build these, can I sell them? Do you have an option where a person can get permission to be able to use your plans in order to make some extra retirement money?
Hi girls, just wanna tell you how much I love the idea and the technique that you girls have shown in this DIY. However, I think that the explanation can be improved a lot! I understand the build but your explanation made me confused. I guess step by step step diagram and measurement would help. I am so sorry but I turned the volume low and keep watching till finish. Write a script or practice explaining will help improve the quality of the videos. Anyway, great build!
Love the videos but the audio doesn’t sound as good as when you were in the garage. It sounds like you’re yelling and a lot of echoes. Again...LOVE you ladies and your videos❤️
