Maybe the single wide plastic coffee stirrers. You can heat them to bend them, and have the nice hollow fence post look. I'd recommend prepainting the greeblies and fences, then adding them after.

Not a bad idea to use coffee stirrers! And Yea, pre painting would have been better. I underestimated what a pain it was going to be to get in there with a brush.

I did a fence-line, but didn't make corners. I cut the ends of the bases at 45 degrees to the end point of each end of the fence, so they more or less make a corner themselves.

I thought about doing it that way but I wanted a single corner post and the larger corner bases provided some nice greeble real estate. Either way works 🤷‍♂️

I Like the ideas, and most some people call the "mesh" Screen, which is what I have found in The hardware stores. The Guy even said, " Oh you mean " Screen " I was Like that also what I Said, and as for the metal Mesh, I found some that was in the gutter department, its used to cover gutters from leaves and such. Some is smaller and some a big larger. But it works well for Fences!! Also I use Baking Soda to make the Super Glue Dry Faster, and makes it HARD AS A ROCK! I just put the glue on the spots and sprinkle the Baking Soda on. Works wonderfully!! Thanks for the ideas!!

My only issue with using baking soda is that it can be messy, but it does work well. I dilute it in water and put it in a spritzer bottle. It leaves a film, but you can wash it off.

They (snips) come in left, right and strait. If your not working sheet metal (in my experience) just about any will do the job. Why left, right or strait. It is all about the cut you are making. I would suggest just getting strait or by a cheap set of all three. Great tip on goodwill and second hand stores. They are gold mines for crafters.

True, It's nice to have a pair that fits your dominant hand for stuff like this in my opinion. But I can't say I've tried using the other ones. It would probably be beneficial to have all three

Very Cool! But I don't think you will see very much rust on a Chain-Link fence. Remember, it's galvanized, so you'll most likely see some corrosion.

Maybe not a new one, but eventually it'll rust.

As the zinc wears off it will start to rust. It would take a while but it would eventually.

The barrels and sci fi crates are 3d printed. You could probably find a bulk pack of them on Etsy too.
