It turned out really cute! I've never seen anyone use a curling iron like that before. Why not just use it the normal way so you don't take a greater chance on burning your fingers?
@vee There are many ways to wet set; but basically the term covers a heatless way to get curls and waves by letting the hair dry naturally either on curlers, flexi rods, straws, twists w Bobby pins, etc, while it's wet, either after washing, or lightly misting dry hair for less tight curls . Can use setting foam, creme, as well. Not only is wet setting better for the hair than heat, the curls stay longer! Wet setting sort of "locks" in curls. Especially for people with naturally straight hair. My grandmother taught me to wet set my hair as a kid for opposite reason lol my mom would use heat to straighten my two younger sisters' hair & said my hair texture would burn. So my grandma taught me to set my hair on big magnetic ( those plastic ones) rollers to stretch out loosen my super curly hair into softer big waves. Using tiny flexi rods straws etc will produce very very tight curls for people with straight hair 💞
