Another riparium build done! I've been planning to build a tank like this for awhile now... we'll call this one a happy accident since I broke the tank. Initially I wanted to just make it a rimless tank, but my vision was always for it to be a pond themed tank. What's that entail? A lot of riparian growth and a lot of floating plants! Let it grow in some and you'll see my vision unfold.
Once this tank is established and running well it will be stocked with something nano. Like I said in the video, I already have a good idea of what I want, but I'm open to suggestions (other than a betta). Let me know in the comments!
Plant List:
Acorus graminius 'Minimus Aureus'
Alternanthera ficoidea 'Christmas Tree'
Anubias nana 'Petite'
Hemigraphis repanda
Ludwigia repens 'Rubin'
Nymphaea stellata (Dwarf Aquarium Lily)
Salvinia minima
Sygonium podophyllum 'White Butterfly'
Tillandsia ionantha
Tillandsia juncea
What to see other riparium builds?

I made my first vivarium this week and I give a good majority of the inspiration for it to your channel. It's a small start, a 10 gallon, that I used to house my ivory millipedes and isopods but it brought me so much joy creating and now fills we with pride and happiness whenever I get to view my animals enjoying a natural and beautiful habitat. Thanks for the channel, please never change.

“Average person uses five bottles of silicone a year” factoid actually just statistical error. Average person uses 0 bottles of silicone per year. Aquascape artist Tanner making aquarium, ripariums etc. and is using 5,000 bottles of silicone a year, is a statistical outlier adn should not have been counted.
@amatohalenda1571
@amatohalenda1571 3 года назад
No though, they don't use 0, and tanner would have to use 35 billion for that math to check out... so no

Love your builds. This one's great as always. Just wanna leave a quick trick here for aplying silikone, since I do that a lot at work. To tape the edges to prevent squished out silicone to stick, where it doesnt has to, is always a good idea. First of use a razor to cut the tip of the silicone tube to create smoother lines. After you apllied the silicone to the inner edges, you should use a spray bottle filled with water and a bit of dish soap and sray it all over your silicone lines. Then use a flat piece of wood with a right angle and grind that angle round to the diameter, that the distance of your two lines of tape are apart from each other. (You can also buy such tools made out of silicone) Then use this tool to remove access silicone. You can also dip that piece into a bowl of dish soap water before and in between. Remove silicone from the wood piece with a paper towel. Will give you nice clean silicone lines, you don't need to clean up afterwards. Greetings from Germany
