Very cool. You should add one of those stand alone Nextion Displays with embedded mcu controllers and a built in GUI generator. Can give yourself a slick interface with virtual gauges and switches or anything else you might want. Very cool build!
Can you provide some additional info? What are the values (ranges) of the capacitor and inductor that you used for this remote tuner project? I have several of both to choose from in my spare parts box and I'm thinking that this might be my next project. The steppers you are using seem rather heavy duty for the job they are doing. Was this by design or was it because it's what you already had on hand? I would also love to know what size the plate you used for mounting and the source for the waterproof box you used. I currently have an HV mag loop remote tuning network project that's about to hit the bench. For this project I am just following a simple cookie cutter plan found all over the internet. I'm using a Russian NOS vari vac cap and a lessor duty stepper (than what you are using). I'm using PVC jacketed 5/8 copper tubing for the loop. My calculations are for about 500W in continuous cycle, I was going to run a wired control but after seeing your project I think I will be going with wifi control. I have no experience with this but it didn't seem like rocket science. I'll have to do more homework. In any case, do you have a more specifics regarding the parts list for your project (the two modules)? I'd love a video showing more detail in the wiring of the controller and wifi modules. Oh, heck! BTW, I was laughing when you twice moved the cap by 100 and was confused when it did nothing at the cap 200 command. The reason why I was laughing was because I am pretty clueless but somehow understood the issue immediately. I'm yelling at the screen, Dude, You're already there. Maybe I'm finally starting to catch on. Lol!
