Nice tutorial. I think I'd make an inner one of muslin and an outer cover. That would give a little more protection if it gets overheated and would allow for cleaning the cover.

I made three of these today. My daughter helped me fill them with rice. It was so fun for her to help me stuff them as I sewed. Thanks for the tips about using the pins to keep the rice from going under the needle.

Practice, practice, practice. I have several practice sheets on my site that you can use to master anything from straight lines to zig zag and circles - hellosewing.com . Also mark the line on the fabric and follow it, but watch the presser foot not the needle. Hope that helps
