Hi,just come across your video canoe build,thanks,very entertaining,you have encouraged me to have a go,good to see you paddling your creation,it certainly does paddle well😊

I absolutely LOVE how many "rules" of boat construction, and "standards" of marine builds you utterly ignored in this build. You came up with a passable craft, obviously able to paddle it a good distance, despite whatever alternate "standardized" methods might have been breached. I'm not being facetious at all. I hope your creation gives you many years of service. The only addition I'd suggest is a gunwale batten bent around the upper rim both for rigidity, and as a nice accent to the boat visually. Watching this was FUN!!!

Well done! Not over-done with multiple layers of fiberglass like all of the US-based videos. Simple and effective. 😃

Excellent build! I was sort of waiting to see you add gunwhales to the sides, but then you had to cut away some of the cockpit area to make room for paddling, so nice gunwhales would have just been in the way after all! xD

If you refine the design a bit and you add fibreglass this would be a really durable kayak.

Great vlog. I am full of admiration for your successful design and build. One crucial thing you did not mention is the weight. Can one lift the boat onto a car top for transportation?

You can in fact clean resin from the brush while it's still wet with thinners lacquer thinners
