We did this last Summer and it turned out amazing and was not difficult. I have 4 sons and each was required to bring a friend over.....they took turns hauling bags...pushing wheelbarrows and mixing! They each got lovely parting gifts. Thanks for playing...."This is Heavy!"🤣🤣🤣
If he.completed that in four hours I am very impressed alone with getting a spec of dirt on himself as an more mature gentleman without even an automated mixer something is suspicious.
Hello Micheal I started my walkway with the cobble stones and my pattern took 80 lbs and then some I got 4 patterns with 3 bags of Pro-line crack resistance concrete. I did my walkway and patio for as little as $200 DIY give a take the weather overall I finished it within 3 weeks and this is my first time doing masonry work and it was fun. Thank you
this video was right on time for me. I am getting ready to do a patio with a form just like this one, only a bit smaller. I got a lot of great tips from watching this video. Thanks.
Great job. Glad I found your channel. I've looked at several patterns and couldn't decide, but this did it for me. I like the brick-look in the terra cotta color.
I see a couple issues with this. You need to throw gravel or sand and level of before you mold because those stamping molds obviously form gaps between the “bricks”. Unless you gravel them they will be loose and come off easy or break since you can’t hold to just mud underneath . Also weeds (which you still had growing under before you started will be growing all from winthjng the concrete.
@POTUS TRUMP 2020 .MAGA-NRA I'm agreeing with baker. Noxall the area first. Then Sand to level. Tamp it down. Then weed barrier. Those were individual bricks when he was done lifting up the form. All I could think of was WEEDS galore.
Hello👋🙋♂️ there... Amazing and very interesting video🎥.. Super like👌👌👌 project. Thanks for sharing very helpful Do keep posting Warm regards and best👍💯 wishes The UnknownManCub 👍😎👨🏭
Because he used the right amount of water and he only mixed about 40lbs to 50lbs in that small drum and did everyone notice how pasty the concrete was. Moreover, it looked liked colored cement
Great looking walkway, but for areas with severe freeze/thaw cycles...potential -5 to 105F....how deep does one need to go with gravel under the concrete?
I suspect the "only took about 4 hours" for the project was minimized similarly to the "only took about 30 seconds" to mix the first bucket of concrete.
Hi Michael, thanks for your outstanding video. I’m looking for the mixing bucket and forms you used and I can’t find them at the usual places. Where did you get them?
We did this last summer and it was not difficult at all. Just get some youngsters to haul those bags! He didn't show filling gaps.....we used that sand u sweep in and water in and it hardens.
Wait, you mean 80 lb bag for just one mold? I thought an 80 lb bag would at least fill 3-4 molds. That seems unbelievable to me. Did I misunderstand something?
Can this method be used for driveway widening? I checked your website but it is under construction. I’m very motivated to try your method. Where to buy the walkmaker and cement mixer?
Hey Michael I watch your video each time just to remind me how simple this job is because my mother would like me to redo her walkway but she wants sand can you tell me what kind of sand that is good to put in the joints.
My god ... I just can't believe this old guy did this ... look at him struggle with the useless "mixer" ... oh my god. Where they cut it out, I bet he had some younger workers do the job. :)
I believe it's currently not available there. So I put the name and where you can get it, 2 comments before yours, under paul karkutt 3 months ago. It keeps hiding when I try to put the comment but that one appears to be visible if you still wanted the info.
and so you'll know I'm just being helpful, not slick. When you click the videos link and look at the addresss bar url, it says the name of the item there.
at 9bucks a bag for 60 lbs & 1+ bag per form i find it impossible to rationalize 75 bucks i see 14 lg form areas, is there sand in the joints? or is dirt just going to pile up in the joints? i like to ask q b4 i do
Raj Mann Polymer sand seals the gaps up to half an inch. Pour and sweep into gaps then spray with water to activate the sealer. There are videos on RU-vid on how to use it. About $22 for a 40 lb bucket at Home Depot.
I bet the guys who really does the work isn’t happy he don’t give them any credit! 4hrs to do all that work with one man at his age and with white pants and not hardly a stain on him! 😂.. don’t have to lie to make a video
Is there a requirement for any base to be used on the bottom of the pour and do you fill in the cracks between the “bricks” with sand or any other material? Thanks in advance.
After the walk has dried, you can add sand for aesthetic reasons, but you can also get polymeric sand and lock the sidewalk joints. You can get this kind of sand from the Amazon or big box stores. Here are examples: amzn.to/38kAkHg & low.es/2LiyprM I have no experience with this particular product/brand, it's just for research. Thanks for watching!
Here are a couple of suppliers. I don't know anything about these websites: bit.ly/302tphZ bit.ly/2Oj8z8E As of 7/12/2020, they are out of stock on Amazon: amzn.to/302lqBF
