Hey to DIY, Dave here. Questions, please: How's your van doing? And are you having any dashboard faults from tying into the electrical system? Do you know how many amps the extra 12-volt power outlet can handle? I'm hoping to run two MaxxFan vents from this circuit before adding solar, etc. Thanks for the videos. Lord Jesus bless
David Almeroth I never tied into the electrical system. Everything runs off of an auxiliary system. The cigaret lighters are more than capable of running a fan. Check you manual some outlets are up to 25amps.
@@DIYSprinterVan Yeah, just trying to double check things. One fan needs up to 5-amps so that power outlet should be good. Only recently heard Mercedes-Benz has electrical limits for the newer vans. Eventually will go to a separate electrical system but need to use that outlet for now. Thanks, again
What kind of wire did you use and why? Your video is interesting but won't help anyone doing their own build if you don't specify the exact parts that you used and why.
Thank you for your feedback. The video is more of an example on how I ran my wiring in order to get from point a to point b. Wire type and size will vary depending on your electrical needs. I will add the wire size to my description. Good luck.
how the hell you going to panel that with all that wire i was just looking for a video og how to re route standard wires from the side to behind the walls.
thanks for the reply , mine must be a different design then as all the electrics from the rear doors camera lights etc etc are in front of the wall at head height on the left hand side of the rear compartment (im in the UK) same side and just above the sliding door , there is no way to panel over them, as there was never panelling there from the factory
