its good to have the tripod leaved (it will work if its not properly leved but it will be worse) you need to hav the laser for finfding the polaris on the sky ( or you can use polar finder )
The motor axes must be aling with the Earth axis or parallel so after aling , the Camera movement gone be sincronized or the same as the Earth , making the stars looks like static for the Camera😊 i hope yuo go it😊
And its a concidence of nature yhat the polar star point to the nort axes very close to the real exas of the Earth , thats why yuo use that star in the nort hemisfere (in the south we dont see it)
there are multiple bases for multiple altitudes you need to choose the one up to 40 ( … se up to 40.stl) (it's the same that I am using ) yes it will work
