Mixing it with the mixer for at least 45 minutes will also ensure that is stays light and fluffy for months! The first batch I ever made started to solidify within a week. I watched more videos on youtube and finally found one that said you have to mix it for 45 minutes. It's a good thing you can make big batches that lasts long cause it takes awhile.

I use homemade, 100% natural Coconut oil to seal my hair ( live in the Caribbean so I get my coconuts fresh from the Tree). If I don't have any coconut oil then my second go to is Black Jamaican Castor oil or local castor oil from the market as well.

When my hair is damp I first add my leave-in conditioner, then I use my favorite curl defining cream (which both has some Shea Butter in them) to flat twist it and I like to seal my hair with coconut oil.

I realized that going simple is best for my hair instead of wasting a lot of money on tons of products. I love using a natural Shea butter for moisture (the first one that I tried was from Shea Shea bakery). Coconut and Argan oil are also a couple of favorites, but I recently started to use black castor oil too. I follow you on snapchat and I can't wait to make your Shea butter (and hair milk if you make a tutorial).

I've only been natural for almost 2 months now and started off using coconut oil. I soon learned that that DEFINITELY wasn't enough to keep moisture in because my hair is really thick lol. For the past 3 weeks or so I've been using Aunt Jackie's Seal it Up Hydrating Sealing Butter from their flaxseed recipes line along with my coconut oil and I love it so far! It smells great and I only have to moisturize and seal my hair every few days as opposed to every day when I was only using coconut oil :)

I'm transitioning, decided to go natural exactly a year ago and I love it so far but I'm still learning and experimenting. I've previously used coconut, olive, and grapeseed oils and I like the results of coconut the best. I'm still getting my product line together, currently using dark-n-lovely Au naturale products. April thank you for the opportunity! As of late, I add coconut oil as soon as I complete my wash process, then add Shea Moisture's JBCO hair masque as I put my hair into 20 little twists - leaving them covered (bonnet at night, beanie during the days) until I'm ready to style into a low bun as needed depending on the setting. My hair remains and "feels moisturized" for 3 - 4 days until I do my whole wash process all over again.
