Good ideas and video. Since the cross bars are removable, you could add an inch or 2 pvc to the vertical supports so that the top kayak would not touch your bed cover. Just sayin....
Nice work. Just fyi for anyone gluing PVC. You can sand the area lightly instead of using primer but in a case like this where there is no water leaking that could happen you don’t need to do anything. I have always just wrapped sandpaper around the pipe and twist a few times to put some scratches in it. I do it this way even for regular plumbing jobs. I just hate messing with that messy primer and one piece of sandpaper is so much cheaper and can be stored away for years and used again for multiple things. Primer can be used for one thing basically. Just a little info for anyone that don’t know.
@@Bpic0518 no sir, I’m still using this without any changes. The only thing you may want to do is add so type of lubricant if you want to disassemble to store in your vehicle while you’re out fishing.
