These times, these days, compared to now, this makes me cry. Rest in Peace MC Fats. The 90's were the best days of my life, the raving scene was what I lived for. It saddens me that those days can never be repeated. Massive shout to anyone who raved in the early to late 90's. A truly magical experience, we were extremely lucky.
@@D_2_da_K87words cannot explain how good it was. Society has changed so much, going out has changed so much, and all for the worse. For example, I live in London and it had so much to offer in terms of going out back then, but now it's become such a boring city. All the best venues are gone and replaced with overpriced apartments. That and people are different.
@@MCorrigan Mate.....you know!! Me and some of my old school raving mates were saying this the other day. I can't describe just how good the 90's were! The best *raving* times of my life! (The best *overall* times for me are now with my wife and beautiful daughter). I still rave regularly (well as regularly as a middle aged man can handle - recovery time is loooong rudeboy, lol), but it will never be the same as the 90's. Never.
You are so spot on. I was 18 in 94. Absolutely perfect for me! It was a different time, and I am so grateful to have experienced MANY late nights raving nonstop…maybe with some of you if you were in London! Big up the original junglists! ❤️🔥
Just getting into it? That’s cool, I was racking my brain trying to remember the name of this track, heard it like 25 years ago... good luck on your journey, my RU-vid playlists are are full of classics

It was a different time, and I am so grateful to have experienced MANY late nights raving nonstop…maybe with some of you if you were in London! Big up the original junglists! I went wherever the music was….so all the spots! What fabulous times, brings a happy tear to my eye typing this ❤️🔥 There were no phones and no distractions and you and your mates were in the MOMENT. We’ll never get that back. Special times indeed!!! X
This vocal is etched into my memory from when i was a toddler and my mum would play it, then i had it on tape an would play and play and play. Rinse out the sound.
Big reload for me at my Jungle Nation residency at Barroom Meatpacking District New York City Summer of '96, Thanks to Thomas Ryan Promoter, DJ Dara resident & all the DJs and crowd that made it the place to be
It was a pleasure and joy to work with him, he was also a very good friend and he will get a good send off this Thursday.. Rest in peace, Wildale. - Hopa.
Heard this one a big rig out one night about a year ago, Hadn't had molly for about a year and a half. Eyes absolutly popped out of my head and saw neon light pulsating from the speakers. Hearing this tune always gives me memories of that cherised night lol Ps My neighbours love this tune too, we all skank out in the stairwell to it at my units, The old bird next door and all lol
If I’m still alive at 70, 80, 90 or above…I BEST be getting down to these gems! 💎 A different place and time with people who were all in the moment! No phones! No distractions. Couldn’t ask for anything more in life! The all time best time to be alive, hands down. RIP Fats ❤️🔥💎❤️🔥 thank you for blessing us with your incredible talent! 🫠⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of the best Hype tunes ever....and he's produced bare classics. This brings back so many memories....Lazerdrome, AWOL, Club UN, Astoria, Bagley's, The Sanctury and so many others....this tune smashed the f**cking lot! In fact I'm pulling a reload right now lol.
@@laurencenygate9399 Yeah AWOL was wicked....at Paradise and SW1 too! Went their reunion at Ministry a few years back for my mate's birthday....it was rammed and banging!
@@breakfreak3181 I never got to go to Paradise club.In Islington correct? For some unknown reason I never did AWOL at Paradise.i was always desperate to.were you from mate?
@@laurencenygate9399 Yeah it was in Islington. Near where the O2 Academy is now. I'm from South London. Grew up in Pecks. Used to go Lazerdrome all the time! What about you, what ends you from mate?
and in the dancehall, when we enter, chronic then it make it into the arena, we nah lotion, pet nah powder, crowd of people, push up on our lighter, you hear!!!
And as a side note that Aphrodite/Amazon II track named Big Booya, the lyrics actually say big 'bout ya meaning big around here, as in him being the biggest the in the area.
Damn, this brings back the memories. Electro/DnB nights on some good old school acid and shrooms. I had a white label I wore the fuck out of doing after-parties.
i've gotta say, i always preferred the original "Run Out" which Hype used to cane on his Kiss show (but never made sample clearance).... but this tune is BIG! when that bassline starts bubbling at 03:53, and you know what's coming.... gets me every time!
Its kind of funny for me 'cos Hype occasionally used to say (on Fantasy? radio Babylon /helter skelter back to back (I really don't remember much beyond him saying it,)) "this one goes out to the ganja max." I thought it was a cool name. And I sampled "to the ganja max" (repeat monotonously,) on one of my very poor attempts of creating music at the time. This tune is one of the few jungle tunes with an MC bit I luv (the first 2.15 minutes.)
As we are talking lyrics, can somebody please help me locate a track circa 1996, it has the lyrics; "What you wanna hear what you wanna hear, what you wanna hear, What you wanna hear what you wanna hear - something for the people in the front an in the rear!". (hip hop lyric style). Thanks
I never liked Hype and ganja kru, as their jump up tracks were always so flat and almost pop. But this one and "going out for da loot" are really big tunes by him.
