Mixxx rules! Easy on the uP, minimal requirements, stable (mostly) and free. I tried the others and felt like DJing with one hand tied behind my back and fingers on my free hand taped together. That said, I don't like the loop start/end approach at all with my new controller on Mixxx. My DIY controller 10 years ago had loop size buttons 1,2,4, etc and sub beat buttons like 1/8, 1/4, 1/32 etc for that sorta thing. just one touch to Loop, change size size & button to exit. I need to change the controller script to match the old way. I find the latency of the "end" loop off quite a bit. Must be a script issue for the DDJ-FLX4. Also removed scratching script which I never ever use. Thanks for posting interesting to see what others are up to on Mixxx
Hi there, thanks for your nice comment!I totaly agree that mixxx is realy good and props to the volunteer dj´s and programmers for making this great free software possible!I have the same issue with loop latency with the Hercules p32dj with the rotary encoders for loop size adjustments so i doubt that it´s script related but don´t take my word for it!The midi learn/script capability´s of mixxx are fully customizable and i got it running with 4 controllers,cmd-dc1,cmd-dv1,djtech kontrol one and hercules p32dj at the same time without any issue!I can´t say the same about many other dj software both payed and free are a pain to make them work with several controllers and customize them to your personal needs!Keep making those Waves and Beats and Cheers from Alex
