What do you think? Also the Autel lite plus looking into the Sun 🌞 shot has more dynamic range around the Sun and in the trees, did you notice? I also didn't mention restrictions because A2s is simple to get restrictions removed 💪 Happy Flying 😎

I have both of these drones and really love them. I noticed that the Autel Lite+ seems to have slightly sharper videos but not a real big difference. I love the bigger drones here in Hawaii because we get some pretty strong trade winds here and the Air 2s and the Autel Lite+ do a great job of handling the winds. Each one has its plusses and minuses but they are both excellent drones.

I have the AIR 2S, AIR 3, Mini 4 Pro, & DJI FPV Drone, I just ordered the Autel Evo Lite Plus Premium Bundle, it will be here in a few days. Is the Autel comparable to the DJI, in flight stability & ease of use, or am I going to be disappointed?

I'm pretty sure the flicker in both cameras was the shadow from the props. Because of your angle to the sun, you were getting a glare right into the lens. The props in motion deflected the glare and gave you that flicker.

As you pointed out Xavier, pros and cons for each drone. They're both excellent drones in their own way, one drone has particular features that the other doesn't, and visa versa, it comes down to what the purchaser's priorities are. But in terms of quality of image results, the Lite+ won this battle against the Air2s.

Both look great and are very comparable. There is no clear winner. I don't always like using comparisons in auto color modes because neither bring out the full potential of each drone. I think Air 2s is strongest in 10 bit D log and the Autel has a stronger auto mode. Also, I think the flickering artifact is coming from the shadow of the moving props when looking into the sun. Great job as always!

I don't have either but I would take either. I am wondering if the log adjustment for Autel, would that be a firmware update? Adjustable aperture means you can make adjustments with less changing ND filters. Weight and size aren't much of a factor, and longer flight time is a big plus. Picture wise when shooting in log to color grade, and using filters, I don't think you can go wrong. Autel does have the night mode though which ads quite a bit.

I actually let my Mavic Pro Platinum go last year and am looking to purchase a new one. I'm thinking this time I'm going Autel for the Midsize drone, the Autel Lite Plus in Orange. I thought at the same time, I'd get the DJI Mini 3 Pro. Portability and good cameras are what I'm seeking.

I got my RC Pro remote out and am using it again. I’m finally happy with it so now only Air 2S and Mavic 3. Well of course my DJI FPV is still the best adrenaline FPV.

Hey, great compare :) 1 thing I would not agree with is that flickering - it is not from auto settings - it is the sunlight passing spinning props - this happes with all small drones when flying at an angle twords the sun. It will not happen on an Inspire 1/2 or big drones as the camera is much lower compared to props 🙂

Both drones are great, but Autel still has some catching up to do with DJI. I just picked up an Air2s for about $550, so can't wait to start doing work with it while I save up for an inspire

I'm a DJI owner, but I'm glad they have competition. It's too easy for a company to make a product, get a good review, then go to Vegas and never improve on the product again. DJI has made huge improvements to their drones *after* their release. I think it's because of the competition, and Autel/others are becoming strong competitors.

Either one is great for hobbyists. The Air 2s might be better for those doing a little work for someone like Dronebase who require a DJI product. Another consideration is the number of times the batteries can be cycled. I know the Evo 2 batteries tend to be limited compared to the Air 2s. It might be the same for the Lite+. I personally like the color science of the Autel drones but not everyone does so personal preference is king.

Great video. I do not have either of them I have the Mini2 ,Air2 and Mini3 pro. I looked into getting an Autel Drone quite a few times but they are just too expensive in my opinion. Majority of the time Dji have an equivalent drone and cheaper in most cases.

@@xavier_arthur I would love an Autel especially the Lite+ would of been the one I would choose but when you take into account buying the drone and then getting extra batteries the Air2s is a lot cheaper even with the fly more kit. I'm not a Dji Fan boy but look at the nano very expensive and after watching a lot of reviews it has a lot of problems. Dji bring out the mini3 pro with a smart controller and it's cheaper than the base nano. I like bang for buck and at the moment Dji ticks pretty much all the boxes.

The A2s has a more richer color and darker in the shadows, the Lite + was a little dual like a pastel color look.

Interesting but I have to point out that you are looking up with the Air2s and that flickering is from flying towards the sun with the props acting like shutters.

@@xavier_arthur in similar light situations against the sun it happens, or happened, also with other drones. For example with Phantom 3 Pro and with Phantom 4 series. But with the Phantom 4 Pro and Advanced you can eliminate almost completely this annoying phenomenon during video shooting by stopping down the diaphragm to f/8 or f11.

Have both. Both have their plus and mince. It's like ford virus chevy.or Honda virus Toyota. But i think after owning dji mavic air air 2 air2s. Autel has it once it figures out how to improve it's performance.

It happens when enough wind force if pushing against the props and even gimbal when the camera is pointing at an angle like in that video clip. Annoying but Pretty normal in the industry

I really like that beautiful area. I lived in NJ years ago and was impressed that the countryside was so close to a major metropolitan area. As far as the drones, the Autel had a narrower view and the flicker that looked like window shades kind of bothered me. With DJI supposedly coming out with the watered down and cheaper Mavic 3, maybe a refreshing of the A2S is in order ( to keep it relevant) , like widening the arms to prevent the props being seen, and increased battery life.

I can tell you what I know... if you don't record both video footage at the same time,,, you will not get the same lighting,,, so until the test are being taken that way,,, its never an even/fair test... depending on the time of day,, who ever goes first is sure to win or lose,,, depending on if the sun is coming up,,or going down... If your going to judge it,,, you got to do it right... Put both Drone up at the same time,,recording with the exact same lighting,,,then you will get the real answer... regardless of that,, I'm still putting my money on the A2S...
