Just went to an event this weekend with 50+ people. 90% of people flew dji and it sucked to fly with other people for the first time on dji. I am just a sucker for analog i guess

@@gazalazzz6989 no 20mhz together (25mbps). People spread on 1 3 and 5 and then an analog or hdz on 7. Video was just bad and if using goggles 2 with vista or au then its unusable on channel 3

I've had nothing but good experiences with the vistas, AUG1's, and 03AU, so I'm pretty much sold if an 04AU releases. However, if it isn't backward compatible at least 1 generation + improved low-light performance, I'm switching to Walksnail permanently.

With 80Mhz I wish we could experience a surprise such as a live 3D feed (40mhz per eye). I don’t thinks that is what is to be expected but it sure would give us a new perspective 😊

Years ago I had a quad running a Nerdcam3d - whilst the image quality was honestly pretty crap the 3d effect was awesome, made it soo easy to fly close to stuff, I've been wanting to repeat that experience every since moving to digital! Hopefully someone like Walksnail will have a go - I'd happily take even 720p per eye for 3d. A pusher quad with the 2 cameras on top of the 2 front motors would be the way to go I recon and would give a wider IPD vs your eyes (wider IPD improves depth perception distance).

Wow. I can’t wait. I really really hope the goggles are compatible with vista and og air unit. They can definitely do it since everything is sdr and all they would need is to add the software like they did in goggles2/integra. The avata2 combo will probably be the first dji drone I buy on launch day. 80mhz bandwidth will be amazing. I think they will have 100mb at close range and switch to 50 or 60mb at long range. They have a lot of room to play around with clarity and penetration now.

Do you think the actual frequencies will be easily determined? It seems like, I'm in the dark when flying with others using the goggles 2. I've just being using auto mode -- and even then, it still interferes with other goggles 2 flyers.

@@km099 I did the same thing and bought it back when it went on sale in February i think? Overall I think the Avata is the most fun I've had flying any drone ever. The DJI FPV drone is def faster and more powerful, but I feel less anxiety when I fly the Avata because the durability is much better. I've crashed it at least a dozen times by now but only broke a prop once. The hype for the Avata 2 is real though I'm counting down the days!

You said at 6:48 tthat it doesn't make much sense to have gps on your goggles but RemoteID is all you need to know. "Here are the exact coordinates of the pilot". A lot more accurate and faster than doing triangulation.

@divingfalconfpv4602 I still have one quad wirh an 03. I use it rarely to landscape surf on trips to the mountains. But it's rare. I've just fallen in love suth walksnail. I have the v1 goggles with the letsflyRC mod (trueRC Xair) and it's been better than the vistas. It's cheaper, so many options. Been worth it to me personally. I will say that the goggle experience it's way better than the VRX experience. Better FPS and the OLEDS are also something that makes a HUGE difference

No it’s the other way round. There’s becoming literally no reason to buy Walksnail anymore. It’s just about playing catchup with Vistas, nevermind O3 and DJI are now onto O4! You’d have to be crazy to buy into the shitshow that is WS. With their weak penetration & overall image link, bug-riddled hardware and software and non-existent support you’d have to be crazy to even consider it.

@thekilleraxe7121 walksnail V1 goggles and the V2 VTX has surpassed the vista. You can getting better image from walksnails 1s vtx. Meanwhile DJI has limited their products and narrowed it down to one VTX choice.. 🤣🤣 you been asleep or something? Walksnail with good antennas blows the vista away. Stop believing everything your favorite RU-vidr tells you Enjoy your one VTX and cam. 🤣🤣🤣

@thekilleraxe7121 haha yeah ok. The V1 goggles with the V2 single antenna VTX blows the vista away. You can get better image than a vista from their 1s VTX. Better latency that is actually stable. Meanwhile you got what? The 03? No camera choices, you get what they give you and that's it. walksnail has surpassed the vista and continues to make hardware. Gives the community what it asks for all the time. Has more options and features. I'm guessing you are just repeating what you see on FB or what your favorite RU-vidr tells you. Enjoy your ONE vtx and all your investments getting phased out when 04 comes out and does the same thing but just goes further. Like that's the end all thing that makes it great. As if anyone is having issues with range and penetration anymore with any system. 🤣 but hey you got that pretty picture who needs all the other options and stable latency. Who needs whoops and different types of cameras! I got muh pretty picture! 🤣 You clearly have no real world experience with it and are just repeating the online hate. Becsuse you sound crazy and opposite to what people who actually fly walksnail experience. I have both DJI and 03. They passed the vistas a while ago.

I think the 2.4GHz SDR is for further "open field" flights, and the 5.8GHz SDR is for more "closer" flights with better penetration, but not as far as the 2.4GHz. I mean look att Crossfire for example. The TX with 868/915MHz is best for long flights, but lack of penetration. While Tracer has 2.4GHz that is best in penetration but not good for long flights. If you understand what im going here. The higher the frequency is - the lower distance, and vice versa. Thanks to you Mads, for keeping us updated!

@haim.studio I checked again at Oscar Liang. My fault about the penetration area. I mixed it. The 900mhz has better penetration, and the 2.4ghz has worse. But the range is still true. My fault there

Barely mentioned the two cameras on the front of the goggles 3. I hope they moving closer to Apple Vision by being able to view your surrounding environment through the goggles. And the way the strap is attached to the new upper part with a hinge looks like you might be able to flip the goggles upward without moving the head band.

I am no expert, but pretty sure that "bulge" on the top where the strap goes through is just a point to sit on your head. You can see a swivel piece in between that and the goggles. This allows you to flip up the goggles reach quick, in case you need to quickly look at what's physically in front of you without the new built in cameras. Think of how the military utilizes NVG systems on their helmets.

Why would you even want to take Avata and FPV at the same time, why would you even buy both in the first place instead of Avata/FPV + either mini/Mavick or real fpv drone? Are you mad? I have one goggles, one radio and two drones at the same time - DJI fpv for N mode cinematic + Geprc Mark 5 for freestyle and I take both every time I go because they are DIFFERENT, for DIFFERENT tasks.

Chances are no but we don’t know. I certainly would say no at launch. DJI has in the past brought compatibility later down the line however I think this will be a clean break now. There are some other technical reasons why it potentially won’t work as well as DJI have added what appears to be a new coms for the rc and it’s not clear how that works yet.

Do you know what video bandwidth does on Avata 1 or Avata 2? I mean whats the real difference between 60, 40, 20 o4 10 mhz?

Yes it’s the video carrier bandwith on the band. So for instance in 60Mhz mode the carrier is 60Mhz wide. 40 is 40Mhz wide ect. The wider the carrier the more data it can carry at the same time. Think of it like a pipe. A bigger pipe can carry more water at the same pressure. Bigger carrier means more data and better quality live feed.

Cool. And you can then watch it on a mobile "PC" monitor in 4K UHD ? The chips in such a large drone are certainly larger and more powerful than what is in an O4. But who knows... Maybe with the new gen there is 4K in the o4 Unit and Goggles 3.

That’s not really likely. It’s to do with having a cleaner setup and cost. It would have zero bearing on RID.

They could just not support the control link on the Vista and old air unit like they dropped support for recording on the old air unit. Most pilots I think are probably using other transmitters.

The bulge on the front is part of the head strap, that will sit above your eyebrows in the goggles will be able to pivot up while still having the hedge strap remain where it is on your head. Think of it like a welders mask.

Goggles 2 price dropped like a brick recently . You can get them brand new for $449 USD right now. I'm just now stepping into FPV, But that is one suspiciously sharp price drop. I'm not buying anything yet, because I'm afraid they will either become obsolete via some new native compliance feature. Or in typical DJI fashion they will add some amazing feature that could be added with firmware to old gen but won't be.

WHY can't they add LIVE AUDIO/Audio Recording again? This would make it a GoPro replacement 110% especially with an upgraded camera over the already pretty good DJI Avata/DJI O3 setup. It wasnt long ago now that this was a common feature, like the DJI FPV and DJI AU's. Most people would tend to run the audio input, when they had a Analog VTX and/or Cam that supported it. This was/is one of my favorite features of the DJI FPV Drone and the DJI FPV System. When i bought the O3, when it first came out. I had thought it mentioned it had an audio carrier frequency on DJIs website in the Spec's, but for whatever reason, No more Audio. I was super disappointed to finally get the crystal clear O3 video image, BUT NO SOUND for recording or live on headphones.

If the Goggles 2 support the DJI AU's & Vista's using the fake o3 mode it uses. So if the Goggles 3 support the O3 Air Unit, couldn't they do the same to support the original DJI AU/Vistas?

Bandwidth does not equal penetration. The higher Mhz wil increase bandwidth but not penetration. All it does it bond channels together to provide more bandwidth in essence just creates a bigger pipe which gives the bandwidth. In doing so your probability of interference now goes up because you’re now occupying more channels. This is the reason you never get your isp true speed from your WiFi. If you enabled 80mhz you would have to have near zero interference from wifi to benefit which these days is impossible unless you live in middle of nowhere

Yes but with more bandwidth you can drive in more error correction. Yes it’s a bigger pipe however it’s what you do with that pipe is what’s important. For WiFi massive error correction is not a priority as it’s fairly localised. However is a mobile link it’s far more important. So it can absolutely have an affect on penetration for instance as your able to drive in more link recovery.

The 80 Mhz bandwidth could also mean stereoscopic feed.. i mean they could have gotten away with a single camera even on the goggles, but they put in 2 of those.. so maybe they want to go full 3D?

Use 80mhz only when you’re in the middle of nowhere. Higher chance of interference in dense environments
