I agree re. Holding the mic in the hand… it’s very distracting and find myself just looking at the receiver rather than the person. I love a hidden mic and you are the best!

So glad this now exists! Going back to using wires was the only downside when upgrading from the Sony ECM-W2BT to the DJI Mic 2.

I just received the DJI mic 2 today and it's not compatible with the a6700 when you have the smallrig cage on, so I was looking for an adapter to add to the cold shoe of the cage and then DJI releases the solution in the middle of my search😂😂😂😂 . Great Video, Sidney!

That is an awesome adapter! If I hadn't chanced across a second-hand Røde Wireless Go a few months ago, I would almost certainly be buying this and a Dji wireless mic! I love my Røde, though - I use it with Zoom calls. And I'm with you on the visible mic thing - I clip my transmitter inside my collar to make it less visible. But it has a little blue power light that sometimes needs hiding... Grr..

It would be super cool if DJI allowed you to pair your lav mic to multiple DJI 2 receivers and use this hot shoe to be cableless wireless audio sync to multiple cameras. No need for time code when both cameras have the exact same audio.

No. It only works with the receiver screen facing the shooter. You can’t see when vloggiing. Improves the audio quality though.

You still have to plug headphones into the camera to check your shots. So you’re still wired. I got one of these though. It’s one less wire to deal with.

Why not add compatibility to the V1 mic? They want everyone to upgrade to the v2. I don’t see any reason why the v1 cannot support this besides firmware which could be updated.

Of course the further you get away from a shotgun mic, the less sound will be received into the mic. What does that have to do with DJI utilizing the hot shoe of camera for their wireless units?

Because you don’t have to use a cable to connect the receiver to the camera body.

Dang ive never tried a lav mic under shirt like that, i was told 1) it wont sound that good, and 2) shirt rubbing it would cause noise. What lav mic are you using?

It just looks good but for me very unusful if it's related to the camera pins,, and the most important for meif I use it on gimbal means extras weight and for handheld while I have my camera cage means nothing as I have to attach the mic on the cage itself still

You say the audio sounds bad but honestly for what it is it's doing a great job lolol (not the dji mic) Also when you are one man band holding the mic just ensure audio is probably sounding good since you can't really monitor if your lav is sounding right or not.

I've been asking RODE and DJI (in particular after seeing the cold shoe mount/iPhone/USB C port was interchangeable with those pogo pins) for this ever since my a7iii's mic in port broke and I did all this troubleshooting to figure out why my RODE Wireless Go II wasn't working... Fortunately the repair was $250. Then I lost one of the Rode transmitters, so now I have a Rode Wireless Go II and a DJI Mic, and it looks like my a7iii isn't supported by this either. When I look at my FX30 rigged up with a handle and monitor, I don't have access to the hot shoe, so would still have to use a cable. But in a run and gun situation or on a gimbal, this would be perfect! Maybe I'll retire my a7iii to photo only and get a 2nd FX30, or trade the a7iii for an a7iv...

I’m turning my mic into jewelry. Making a cover (without covering the mic aperture) so that the mic will look like a pendant. I also think it would be funny to put little cat ears and perhaps a pink nose on the wind muff. Live cat. Now that would be distracting.

Oh may gulay!!! The Sony ZV-1 isn't on there! I mean, I love my DJI Mic v.1, so I'm good with it, but if by any chance I would want to upgrade the mic, rather than the camera, it wouldn't work. I love my ZV-1 + DJI Mic combo so much that I thought about any possibility of having an even more improved sound quality experience with an upgraded DJI Mic Version, and heck, a wireless camera adapter, but then, why change what has been working already right? LOL. Another awesome and funny video Sidney, a.k.a. "...oh that's all? Sidney, yes." LOL

Hey Sidney - do you own the ECM-G1? if so - have you used it with the Sony Ac2? it is supposed to be an AUTO mic - however on the A7C 2 it allows for volume adjustment on the camera - have you ran into this at all? Also - I really need RODE to make adapter like this - this is HUGE.

@@SidneyDiongzon Thanks for the reply - I do know those mics are better - my question was functionality - does yours allow you to adjust the volume on the A7C2? It does for me - which seems ODD and its kind of annoying since I want it to be auto for that mic - and when I use it on the FX3 or the ZVE10 - it is auto - but now on the A7C 2 - it allows the volume adjust the volume - which I forget to do and screw up audio at times - its odd - it technically makes the mic better - but I am finding it annoying. Just curious why this update would happen.
