I love the Mavic Pro Platinum results

What I would like to see is the comparison of Zoom's 48mm and Pro's HQ mode (which is said to be about 40mm) to see differences in FOV and quality. I'm considering which of these 2 drones to buy, as the more zoomed the image the better for me, however the quality is also important. I think this is the most valuable comparison you can make of these 2 drones and nobody made it so far...

Very interesting results. Why is the Mavic Pro Platinum sharper than both the Zoom and the New Pro? Why is the New Pro the least sharp?

Thank You for this video comparison... Now I’m more convinced that I won’t upgrade from my original Mavic Pro drone to the new models... (I understand the upgrade in terms of cameras but I don’t see differences specially for social media content, I’ll keep flying carefully with my front and bottom sensors, and for Hyperlapses and dolly zoom in post I can make it if I need it) This is my personal opinion.

Glad you brought up the LED lights for a reason to buy it’s my favorite part of the new drone. I just got a spark and I love it but the cost of drones in Australia is expensive the Mavic 2 Zoom is $2000 here so the spark is fun for now

Please make a low light footage comparison between mavic platinum and mavic 2 zoom. Same sensor size but mavic platinum has f2.2 and mavic zoom has f2.8-3.8. Which one is better?

i dont often do comments but that was a nice comparison. thanks! my question: DJI is talking about this "hyper resolution" or "super resolution" on the DJI Zoom pictures. taking pictures with different focus to enhance the sharpness of the pic, however, nobody shows that .. did you have a look ? did you try it out ? if yes, any example?

I bought my Mavic 1 Platinum in 2016. I just used the last crash protection. It was only a leg, could have fixed it, but I sent it in, and they gave me a new platinum. But of course no more DJI care refresh. I sold the new one for $800 locally. Now I have a flying buddy. But I was not wanting to fly without care refresh. So, I bought the Mavic 2 pro, and have the care refresh, so now I have peace of mind, and a new drone. In two more years, I'll sell this one.

Tengo des de hace año y medio un -Mavic Pro. Por lo que estoy viendo, no creo que merezca tanto la pena comprar el Mavic 2 pro , a menos que se quiera hacer fotografias , aunque con el Mavic pro, realizando fotografias que puedan despues unirse con oprigramas de edicion, podemos tener tambien super imagenes de muy alta definicion.

It would have been perfect had you did all three drones video footage at the same time coming up of the exact same photo instead of cutting the building between the three! I wanted to see the difference of the 3 of the exact same side by side!!! Just saying

Alex, you say the M2P and M2Z are interchangeable, implying by the user. Not true. It takes DJI to swap out the camera, for a price. You cannot buy a Zoom camera for a Mavic2Pro and swap out at will, as you imply. You should clarify what you mean when making such statements. Also here's a tip: Count how many times you say "you know" in this video. If "I knew", I wouldn't be watching. Keep up the good work, I like your content.

Just a shame that the Mavic 2's sensor just kinda sucks. Pro Platinum's sensor seems the sharpest at 4K.

Dud the Mavic Zoom cam is not the same..the MP are same but tue due DJI it is Hasseblatt too...

White balance seems to be an issue between models. Is the building pink, white or yellow. I suspect it is not the pale color the the 2 zoom makes it appear. In the footage shot where you are posing or talking about the drones it appears pink (but then you are quite red as well) like in the Pro footage but it look more yellow in the Pro 2 still and video. The color saturation is clearly highest in the Pro 2 and lowest in the Zoom. It just seem off in the Pro, maybe too much.

What about the loss of the precision handing feature??? Flew my m2p yesterday. Sent an rth. It came back and landed in the grass 12' from the launch pad! My p4p will land within inches of its takeoff point.

As I said a few days ago, for a more professional use and ....From my perspective, there is something still missing: IPX7 certified protection against water and IP6X certified protection against dust...besides, I'm wondering if DJI is already thinking about devices capable of making not just a SRH when they run out of battery, but to be able to find and connect by their own to a charging base, fixed or mobile. Any news about it?

If the Mavic 2's big selling point is the Hassalblad camera should we get more image comparison shots? Frankly all I saw in the Hassalblad shots was higher saturation. I certainly wouldn't buy it for the sharpness of the images.

Thanks for the super great and professional comparison and your video . Now about the comparison I'm not very impress at all about the Mavic Pro 2 and zoom picture sharpeness comparing to the Mavic 1 Pro Platinum . Mavic 1 Pro Platinum do have a much better sharp , clarity and contraste on the picture .It's a nite and day difference . Mavic2 Pro and zoom having maybe more color but alot of lost on clarity contraste and sharpeness . Many more gadget i agree but the price to pay for the picture not convince me very much. All depend what you want to do with it but for me count the picture quality first and not the gadget .

When a Mac Pro 1 owner loses or crashes his drone...he can still use all his remaining accessories ( batteries etc) on the Platinum, which can now be had for less than 800$. It softens the pill and the pain considerably. The only thing he misses out is the omnidirectional obstacle detection. But then again...if not used for professional purposes, the platinum delivers .

Hellyo, I am being myself thinking of why would I bother with hasselblad sensor, 10 bit color accuracy, more depth, dynamic range and so on.. What matters are just the results . And ok results are better overall from the Mavic 2 Pro .. but saying that All the marketing today always try to convince customers to by the newer latest drone because it is usually (or supposed to be) better then the old gen.. but the problem is it's not always that way.. Of course Mavic 2 pro is overall better and more advanced drone than Mavic Pro original but honestly I never thought It would be so close in IQ in most comparisons I sow on yt. The one thing that stands out is more color depth in Mavic 2 pro, but I have also seen amasing footage from Mavic Pro 1 - after some tweaking with sharpness +1 and NeatNoise reduction + color grading. I think It is possible to "almost" match Mavic Pro 1 with the mavic 2 pro - but at the sacrafice of much more time spent in post production of Mavic Pro 1 footage. That would be the turn for the newer one. Still Mavic Pro for it's value right now is pretty amasing and honestly a much better value than most other drones right now including Mavic Mini and The Mavic Pro 2. (about 550 USD in my country).

Mavic 2 Zoom, Mavic 1 PRO and MAvic AIR - these drones have the same sensor, right? The diffrence is in birate (pro - 60Mbps, 2 zoom and AIR - 100 Mbps). Am I right ?

Hasselblad is no longer a swedisch company . Since 2017 it has been bought by DJI and now it's just a brand name of DJI!!! Customer support etc. is all in china now.

You shouldn’t rely on subtitles they were parts of this video that Wood lost on me because my eyesight is that bad I couldn’t read the subtitles so what you were trying to do that point I have absolutely no idea VoiceOver would’ve been much better

it seems Mavic Pro 1 is sharper than Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom both... way much sharper. I found the same result in other tests....

It's a pity that there's no 4k60 in the Pro Platinum. I think I'm buying a refurb Pro Platinum. You have terrible eyes and no eye for editing if you're saying the 1" sensor is better quality. it may be higher megapixel and have more impressive specs, but the _quality_ , the _detail_ , is not there. Watch the detail in the stone at 8:18-on. The jagged edges, the pitting; look at the grass and foliage detail.

If you’re a professional photog, then upgrade. Otherwise, Platinum is already ample.

what ever comparison videos i have seen of M2P with old MP or P4P. M2P quality was not such great infact colours of M2P in unedited is very warm and unpleasant. over all M2P is nothing to upgrade. those inproved range is not req. and other options can achieve in post. btw M2P is jst 4K 30p with non mechanical shutter. and anyhow this is second small sensor camera from hasselblad and with sony sensor. first one got failed which was comimg with motorola phone as mod. Hasselblad is quite a hype here.... i will wait for P5P
