Old video but it still provided me with a demonstration of the tripod mode that I was looking for. Your videos have been very informative and keep up the great work. 👍
Deylan. NOT boring flying in this mode at all. This mode is especially good when videoing as a new Mavic flyer so you get smooth and slow pans and videos. You explained it very concisely and easily. Thanks again for another great video.
Thanks for posting this. My New Years resolution is to be a Drone pilot. However, I’m completely new at flying. This mode look perfect for getting acclimated to flying a drone for the first time. My anxiety level dropped completely knowing that won’t crash in the first 5 minutes of flying.
Thanks so much Dylan! Your demonstration of Tripod mode clears up a concern of mine: Can I switch between Tripod, Position, or Sport mode on the fly. You easily answered that question. Great videos!
Hi, Dylan, thnks for yours videos are really very good! I have a Mavic for two weeks and my videos are terrible, very bad! Could you help me with the setting videos? I dont know what happen? Are there one settings for video and another one for camera? Thanks in advance Daniel
Daniel, I can almost guarantee you I know what your problem is... It's probably a focus issue. I noticed the first time I flew mine that this drone doesn't do a great job of focusing itself. You have to literally tap where you want it to focus pretty much non-stop.... BUT... I found a pretty good solution. Instead of using the DJI Go app, use the DJI Go 4 app (free download in the app store) and there is a setting in the app (that should be on by default) that tells the camera to auto focus the whole time. That is why I use DJI Go 4 instead of DJI Go. I hope this helps you buddy!
Thanks! very usefull! It would be great if you could make a video about camera and video settings in Mavic Pro, because your tutorials are very good Daniel
jedburgh01 Thanks! No, the gimbal panning/movement is still the same. You can definitely tweak the gimbal/camera settings in the DJI Go or DJI Go 4 app to your liking, however.
Dylan, I'm really enjoying your tutorials on the Mavic. You're doing a good job. The only improvement suggestion I would offer is if you could capture the iPhone screen and put it in the picture so we can see it better. Most of the time when you're in the field flying we can't see the screen because of the glare. Other than that, you're doing a great job! Thanks!
Jason! Thank you so much for the kind words! Man... if I had a dollar for everytime someone has mentioned a screen recorder! :) I have an iPhone 7 Plus that I use so screen recorder apps are really hard to find and come by... however I JUST NOW got one and had to pay a little money for it, so for now on, my videos WILL have nice screen records! I'm thinking about doing a second version of all the intelligent flight modes now and some additional ones now that I have a screen recorder. Thanks again for the kind words Jason!
Hey Dylan nice vids, I'm a new mavic pro flyer and I need some help getting started getting my drone off the ground and started up, when I try to calibrate everything it's giving me messages saying meg and atti wats that about help pls..
I heard it also shuts off downward sensors so when you hand catch it in tripod mode it doesn;tt ry to take back off like it does with them on but haven't tried it myself yet just got my Mavic a week ago
I wish you were able to show the screen and how to actually adjust each parameter (yaw, altitude, horizontal) so we could see how to adjust the sliders. But thanks for explaining it anyway.
I have seen some els demonstrate the TRIPOD MODE and they mad the cars in the back appear that they where running in fast and every thing else was in slow motion, how is that done?
