Good review, one thing, I noticed that when you did your calibration you turned clockwise, Dji recommends the correct way is anticlockwise and if you look at the screen it does show you in the diagram, just wondering if if you have any problems with compass that may be the cause. Just a thought. Again great review.

Question: Will the drone fly back to the take off area if battery reaches lower than a certain point? Best video on the Mavic, I really appreciate this. I've buying this as soon as it's released!

Thanks for the NOT doing an Unboxing! Anyone that is waiting on their own Mavic already knows whats in the box. Thanks for showing the screen functions and the ease that they are able to be used. Same goes for a few of the modes. I myself can see me using the "Point Of Interest" mode quite often when shooting out over the water from customers yachts. I am not sure if anyone's noticed, because I've been watching a lot of videos about DJI's Mavic Pro, this is by far the best video as far as reviewing a product from a perspective of a first time user or for folks like me who will be owning a future mavic pro who's never flown a drone in their entire life. I like how you showed what the screen shows on your phone, I liked how you played around with the different modes, 2 thumbs up! I am definitely going to get this instead of the Gopro Karma! As a follow up question, does anybody know if the Mavic Pro can take pictures and shoot videos of the same time? Just like the mode on a Gopro where you can shoot videos and do time lapse photos at the same time? Thanks in advance!

How did you power down the mavic in your hand with one hand? I thought you need to press both joysticks in and down to power down.

Do you still have to activate the auto focus manually? That sux.

Hi, I've noticed that when you spin the the Mavic, or tilt the gimbal... it seems to have rather hard stops (rather than coming to a smooth stop). is this controllable? So, for example if you want to fly forward and tilt the camera up at the same time for a reveal, will the tilt only come to a hard stop? I'm new to Drones, but look to pick one of these up. thanks in advanced for your help.

how do you turn off the motor when you catch Landed It? I fucked up my finger pretty bad not realizing that obstacle avoidance would send it upwards but even as I held on I couldn't figure out how to turn off the propellers. pause button did nothing

Thanks for the review. Wouldn't it make more sense to sort out all your settings (ballpark 'em) before you fly/hover 1. to save valuable battery life 2. to focus on the actual settings ? At least until your super familiar with a new drone. Your demo seems to skip through steps that deserve more attention, especially for those folks that might not be familiar with this particular drone's operation. Yes, it has similarities to other drones but not everything is the same.

Hey bud great video. I got my mavic this week. Im not sure why but i try the follow me mode and it says my device isnt capable. I use the Samsung galaxy Tab S2 as a monitor. Same happend with my Phantom 3 pro. Just wondering if you or anyone else knows why. New sub.

I am a complete novice with a drone. My wife has bought me a RED5 FX-145 which I intend to teach me the basics, but I will be looking for a better drone soon. You have flown the Mavic Pro and the Phantom - can you steer me to the most appropriate? At the moment, the Mavic Pro looks good, purely for its ability to collapse into a small size

How long were you able to fly? (Assuming you have made edits in this 15 min video) Also, what kind of camera is that you have on your glasses? Which (simple) video editing software would you recommend?

Hey i just got my Mavic today but as it said in your unboxing video there was no live video feed. I did all the updates and deleted and re downloaded the app and then restarted the drone and even tried a different phone and nothing could get past the Air Encoder error. How did you manage to resolve the issue?

I'm selling my one month old Phantom 4 for this Mavic one simply because of the huge size difference, it's way more portable. I wouldn't have to go out with a big heavy backpack, which for me is a very big deal as I found I had to plan where I was taking the Phantom 4 since its so much bigger with its remote too. At first I was hesitant to switch to the Mavic here but after seeing a couple of videos including this one, I've made up my mind and will be having this drone in my hands very soon, the sooner the better.

Nice Review. You didn't mention the settings used for the Mavic vs. P4 comparison. Are you sure you hae everything identical, contrast, sharpness, etc? It appeared you had the Mavic set to Vivid and the P4 wasn't. Just curious is you double checked to match all settings. Nice job!
