DJI Mavic Pro / Way Points v2 (Tutorial)

Can make multiple missions in different locations, to save, the plan I will take some building construction in several locations each week. So that every time you change locations, you don't have to create a new waypoint, just use the one already saved

Hey just to let you know, you can also toggle to the flight modes by pressing in the short camera stick on the right side of the controller..

nice Dylan. Good job. I just dumped my Android stuff last week and got an iPhone 8. I have three cheaper drones that will not fly on Android. And you are right, the built-in screen record with 11 is great.

Use all your battery just programming waypoints, Litchi is much better, can program flight offline.

Very helpful Dylan, thanks. I also hadn’t realized that iOS 11 now has screen and voice recording, thanks for mentioning this. So I checked that out too. Brilliant! It’s ideal for you teaching but also ideal for me in studying my missions and learning in more detail.

The only thing I don't like about the waypoints on the mavic pro. Which I guess you can do them better with lychee app Is that you cannot draw the waypoints on the Google maps and then it just follow what you drew.. but I guess you can say it's good practice to follow the route first.. because then you'll know if something is in your way or not. if you just draw it on a map then there's a good chance you can bump into something you didn't know was there. But that's my only gripe I was still love my mavic pro.. if someone owns the mavic pro there is absolutely no reason to spend all that money to upgrade to the mavic 2. because of social media compression, and that nobody really has any 4K devices, monitors, and 4K TVs.. IT REALLY DOES NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND NOBODY CARES ABOUT THE DIFFERENCE... THE VIDEO IS STILL EXCELLENT!! What's more important is the person taking the video and what they do pre and post production.. but the die-hard Drone reviewers just don't get it and the only people that care are them amongst themselves which is probably 1% of the Drone population.. All people want to to see is entertaining drone which would be fine at 1080P or 4K..etc.. and not to mention to be honest with you I even have a very good cell phone the Galaxy note 9 and the Verizon network. And on RU-vid it constantly does Auto resolution and usually picks 1080p most of the time.. because 4K has a much higher chance of buffering.. and again social media compression absolutely destroys good quality 4K video to the point where people have even said they're 1080p video looks better than the 4K after it's uploaded because of how bad the compression is.. they say things like " my 4K looks so much better in person why " well that's why LOL!! ;)

u dont have to fly ur waypoints first with latest dji go v4.3.12 IOS Mavic 2 ON---remote ON--Tap on Xmitter pic on left in app---Choose WAYPOINTS.

Red Waypoints is much better.. You can plan offline and have many options at and in between waypoints.. Red Waypoints also works with the Spark.. DJI could have turned on the waypoint feature with the Spark as well as 2.7k video but they choose to be jerks in hopes that you will upgrade to a more expensive drone.. This is one thing I don't like about DJI, is that they cripple some features with some drones that actually have the capability to utilize.. If they wanted they could have had the Spark have all the features as some of their more expensive drones..

can we just save a single way point.? I want to shoot a time lapse video for a month, but I want my drone to go on same location everyday. Is it possible? and if yes, please tell me how.

Sorry Dylan, you said you could load this up later right at the end of your video. I am a bit confused, because to the best of my knowledge the Mavic has to be airborne before you can even enter " Waypoints ". Have I missed something cheers

Is there a way for the Mavic take a photo at each waypoint ?

After the mission is saved, can you edit it to make a poi or move the waypoints without flying, back at home?

Nice. Can you make it copy the exact angle and direction? Is that route kept in its memory? I want to do a timelapse series of a building and show it being built while the drone is flying over. Thanks.

Great video! You might be able to answer a question for me...if you set multiple waypoints is there a way to change the altitude on all of them at once rather than going into each one separately? That can be quite a task when you have quite a lot...

What I don't understand is why do you have to fly the route. That defeats the whole idea of a waymark route. On the DJI phantom 2 you could pre-set, without flying the route first. Then press "start waymark route" then the drone would fly the route. It just seems pointless that you need to fly the route first........

Trying to find out how long it will pause in each spot and can you make it longer?

Hey, cool video! Going to try some of this for the first time on a used Mavic Pro I just acquired! Have a gig monitoring a big construction site! Has anyone tried or found out if you can pause the flight, take a few photos at a given location and then resume the route?

I didn't understand waypoints you got to fly it to begin with anyway so what's the difference just fly it and record it. Unless you fly it several times and need it.

How do you have a these extra Intel flight modes? I've only got one page

Hi Dylan, I've got my C1 button set up to focus----- I'm assuming that when in Waypoints that it will still work as the record for the said waypoint. I would be grateful if you could confirm or disagree cheers.

I don't have a second screen on my mavic 2 pro app. I can only see options normal hyperlapse quickshot activetrack point of interest tapfly and cinematic mode

I heard you mention that you can scroll the camera up or down while the Mavic flies the waypoints, but can you pan left or right while it's flying without it deviating from it's set course? Thanks, I don't get to fly much but I'm enjoying your V2 post to help keep me familiar with the flight modes.

Love the Vid.. BIUTTTTTT :) when on location its not framing up properly, How can you MANUALLY FRAME UP the Waypoints (to set the right Elevation & Angle to subject, & to set the right gimble pitch to BEST frame your subject at each way point) how do you do that ? For: I have a problem, that once I saved a mission and then later on apply the saved mission it duplicates itself and erases previous saved missions. Can you be so kind and check it, for it happened to me only after Jan 24th. Before that all missions were saved

When using the waypoint 2.0, android, mavic 2 pro does the Drone need to be turned on in order to create waypoints?
