@@YellowRoseDrones smart controller does not work with any of the 3 series :/ The latest its air 2s which doesnt have the goggles option. And the smartcontroller its on occy 2.0 so it will never support it

no theres no lag to the video and range does seems to be the same

hmm... gotta see how I will be able to measure the latency, to say the truth it did feel exactly the same as an avata and o3 fpv system. if thats importa to you.

@@engineerfpv If you are really willing to measure that for me i would be forever grateful! The easiest method I think is using a Gopro half behind the Googles and half behind the drone. Than placing a Smartphone running a timer in front of the mini 3, so that both the lens of the Mini and the Gorpo can see the Display of the Smartphone. The GoPro would see the Smartphonedisplay 2x times at once. 1) directly in front of the drone 2) the Display of the Goggles showing the Smartphone. If you record a short Sequence in high fps mode (e.g. 240fps) you/ or I could count the number of Frames it takes until the Goggles Display show the same value = Latency. To my Knowledge You would be the first to have measured that latency. if that matters to you.

I do not own a motion controller sorry :/ The intro shot was a custom FPV drone

in your goggles you should go and select the drone you are using. rather than the dji fpv system. then you are just gonna do the bind procedure ( holding the battery button for the mavic for 4 second....) and then you will view the signal through your goggles. but it wont let you arm/ fly. you then have to power off your goggles. arm your drone normally and while being in the air, power up your goggles and you should get signal

no you cant, I do test it on the video and the gimbal just comes right back to portrait

no :/ it only works with the 3 series. mavic 3s and mini 3s.

If I am not mistaked, you can do the exact same thing, just need to follow the process

Goggles dont have any limitations but the mini 3 pro does. Which is 500m

thats actually my color grade :D But you can set the goggles to normal rather than any flat color profile and you can get way much deeper colors

I have not tested it. but the process should be the same! If you have an rc2 with an air3 or mini 4 let me know if it works

from googles 2 to smartcontroller? Only with capture card but dont do that. The DJI RC Pro works with mini 4( it has update) and it has hdmi out.

Yes it does. You will be getting the error that I showed on the video, But you will have normal controls, just the screen wont working. If you do just power off your goggles while flying, you will get your screen to work again on the RC

I actually though of a way to making the headtracking work (only pitch for now) but I will require to stick on the goggles a motion device. ( I have done that on one of my custom fpv drones with gimbal pitch and headtracking) and I will require to open the controller and solder 3 wires where the gimbal wheel is

@@engineerfpv it already helps, but damn, having the full head track would be ani e touch. As I understand, you can turn your head around but keep going in the same direction as you were, the drone just adjust it self and fly like sideways. At least that’s what I saw in the videos. If everything goes right, today I’m getting Avata with Googles 2 and RC Motion 2

thats because of the motion controller it acts as a controller so every time you fly with other one you have to bind. On the latest update you can use 2 devices ( I own the rc pro and rc controller) without need to bind every time. But I can only use it for 4 or 5 times then my trial lets say runs out. And I need to fly again with the main controller and again the 2nd one. Otherwise i need to reregister. Well its a hustle as when I normally fly i prefer the rc pro. but when I am traveling or hiking and have lots of gear with me, i prefer the rc which is lighter. And I do need to to have internet connection to change from the main device.

@@engineerfpv I figured it out so you don’t ever have the binding problem. Just click on the goggles logo in the rc controller in the fly app if you want to use the goggles and motion controller. No more binding issues. Turn off the goggles and motion controller and go back to using the rc controller

On my channel you can see head tracking on mini 3 pro! But only with motion 2

Actually its not that the rc see the goggles. Its that the drone connects to the goggles and the controller to the drone. So 2 different connections

I did got RTH to work normally though

@Engineer FPV it's not dji allowing the drone tonqork qith the normal controllers. Nothing other then the mc. They have even told people, don't do it and if you do n cause damage. They will not cover the damage even if have refresh dji care what ever. Not worth the risk in my opinion

you do understand that I had a whole village in front of me when I was flying? Image signal was exaclty the same when I was flying with just the controller

@@engineerfpv yes I know the image was great I have seen it but even when I tried it I had no villages infront of me. I was on a football field. By the time I got to the end I was down to 7mb. That’s not a good thing.

I did explain it. You just bind the goggles to the drone by itself, by switching on the goggles to the mini 3, and then press the power button on the mini until it beeps. You power up your controller and your goggles. you will receive video and be able to control gimbal pitch but you wont be able to arm. You switch off the goggles you arm and fly the drone. Then you power up your goggles and you will get video in the goggles, but the monitor will get black/warning, but you will be seeing from the screen so you dont care what it says.

I would only use the goggles just for fun. as the FOV its not high enough to actually feel like its first person view. And you need to be really familiar with the fov of your drone and now what around it when using the goggles

@@Amanda-fm2to fpv with goggles its a different story. You cannot fly without the goggles if you are in manual/acro mode. With the mini its just having a bit fun and seeing/ feeling how fpv is. But the fov on any normal drone, as I said before its too little so you cannot really tell you are flying with goggles, Its just like you put a black blanket on top of your controller and have the controller in a close proximity of your eyes ahah. The only good thing is that you can see in very much higher resolution, other than that I would not fly with the goggles and a normal drone

@@Amanda-fm2to by fov I mean the mm of the lens. as a mini 3/ mavic 3 its around 24mm of a lens and avata its like 12-15mm lens
