Have you updated your mini 3 pro yet? I wonder if they added the colour assist using d- cinelike on the mini 3 pro with their newest update

you are comparing two formats that live in completely different color spaces, the D-LOGM format is in the 709 color space (with 30 percent of colors represented), the HLG in the BT2020 color space (with. 75 percent of colors represented). No two videos one dlogm or one in HLG can coexist in the 709 color space, unless that is the intent. For proper enhancement of the HLG format, you should create an identical video by exporting it to HLG. By doing this you would have the HDR indication and by right-clicking on the RU-vid video and activating the nerd option you would see that it is in the 2020 color space and not 709. The comparison in the same video you could do by exporting both to hlg, one would have 100 nits of maximum brightness, the other would have 1000 (another feature of HLG). ciao.

Im a beginner to this but i have seen some channels on youtube, not done related just other channels where the brightness is like wow i need sun glasses, i did comment on one such video and the creator said yes its because its in HLG, i cant see the point of it as i could not watch it for more then a couple mins it was just to bright on the eyes, Rec 709 is what youtube recommend i believe so why do people use different spaces is beyond me. whats you take on people using hlg on RU-vid

To hdr without editing .. and been able to upload hdr to youtube without the need to buy a software for editing just shoot HLG

the HDR in the 709 format of the mini 4 pro is not a video HDR but are an enhancement of shadows and a restraint of highlights via two analog circuits that are activated to simulate a kind of photographic HDR. video HDR is something else: first of all it lives in the bt2020 color space, and then it has a 2020 gamut. In the case of the mini 4 pro, it is sufficient to record in HLG to produce it.
