Hi Devin, thanks for the video, I work a full-time job and did photography as a side gig so still got a lot of gear that's not being used daily. Very interested in getting SE for my trip to British Columbia and Calgary road trip in two weeks since I'll be hiking a lot. Is the Fly More kit really that worth it for new beginner? Thank you for the tips super helpful
@@JuustJayden hey! That sounds awesome! Personally the only benefits to the fly more combo are the extra batteries and maybe carrying case. But I DO NOT have the fly more. The drone is small enough to fit in my camera bag and with the usb c charging directly to the drone I can charge in the car or using a portable battery charger. You can get a solid 20 min of flying. But If you feel like you need more batteries then get the combo. 👍
@@devinjtatro yes my thoughts also due to the usb-c thank you looking forward to more content will def pick one up as it’s cost of lens I don’t use lol have a great day
Was choosing between drone options for our travel vlogs and this ones definitely convinced us toward the Mini SE, affordable and that image quality is stunning. ❤
Thanks for this, been difficult to find pro level tips for the SE simply because it's considered the lowest end gimble equipped but to the average person this footage is beyond incredible. Most of the $300 has to be in the camera and gimble alone.
Lol there are a lot more drones out there that are gimble equipped and have worse quality than the se. In the sun 250 gram category, id say the se is actually one of the best sun 250 gram drones there is. It’s quite a capable drone
Big thanks! Very useful tips, especially for a newbie drone pilot like me. Hoping for more informative tutorials like making great video presentations and fine piloting drones. Helps a lot, appreciate it!
I just picked up mine this evening, and hoping to get really good shots like you do. but mine is mainly going to be focused on real-estate folks, and giving clients that view of their prospective home
You make professional and helpful videos. Thank you. Having said that I would like to point out a couple of things: 1. What is a "24 frame timeline"? Do you mean 24 frames per second? 2. Exposure Lock is not a "hack or workaround" nor is it something occult or hidden. It's a documented feature of the Fly app.
Thanks for all the great tips. This will help a lot although I will need to watch this video many times to get used to adjusting my Cam correctly. This is a great source.
Thanks a lot my brother. This is the best and informative tutorial for a newbie like myself. I just bought the DJI Mini SE and learned more from this video. Please make another video on how to over power the "RC Not Connected" error on this drone. Thanks once more.
I’m looking at buying this model to add more interest to my cycling videos. Although I already understood the settings, you confirmed that these are possible on this drone and demonstrated the quality possible. I’ve subscribed so I can keep on learning. Thanks for your efforts 👍
Thank you so much for this tutorial! Sometime, when I set the shutter to 1/60, the video is too bright, so I bought a couple of ND filters (8 and 16) to help me keeping the light at ease.
Thx Man helped a lot will try manual Settings and keep iso low because when you Fly your drone during golden hour the Auto iso will mess the footage up
Hey! Thanks for the video. I’m probably going to buy this as my first drone and this video definitely helps to get the most out of it. I was just wondering about one thing: isn’t adding 30fps footage to a 24fps timeline and render going to make the end result a bit jittery?
Great question! If you don’t conform / interpret the footage to be the same as your timeline then yes it can be jittery. Think of it as when you interpret the footage you are lining all the frames up to match 👍
Yes my footage was very jittery. I used an application that converts 30fps to 60fps. Surprisingly the app was also able to remove the jitter, besides looking like it was shot in 60fps @2.7K. It was a pleasant surprise. I should probably make a video about it and provide a side by side comparison.. because it’s substantial.
Great guide but if i set 2.7k 30 fps, 5600K, ISO to 100 and shutter to 1/60 the image is horribly over exposed, just like in your video at 6:20 the only way to get that fixed is changing shutter speed to like 1/800 or set the cam back to auto.
Yeah I want the shutter speed at 1/60 because I always use the 30 fps on the SE. looks like I will have to get the ND filters when I upgrade to mini pro 3 (mostly because I hate using a phone with RC).
Your information is one of the best delivered tips for flyers and cinamatographers using the Mini SE. Im going to save this video to use a a reference. Mainly because i am a new user and the nomenclature to these cinematic standards seem a bit daunting, but in all honesty, you've described alot of information as directly and concisely for the beginner. Should improve my skills immensely and im charging batteries for the next weather window in my travels that is lit dramatically and has less obsticles for the WIFI connection to be lost. You seem to be flying over tops of those woods without much signal interferences. Im still nervous about having a fly away. But I'm seeing theres more potential to getting out and having a good connection and shooting more diversity in my target areas. Thanks so much! Please publish a editing video and i hope you can gear it toward common latop and tablets for the less technically equipped videographer with recommended software thats doesn't require alot of experience or knowlege of editing.
Thank you for the comment!! This is always my goal when making videos, hopefully they provide tons of value. I haven’t had a ton of interference.. there have been a few times it made me nervous but ended up being fine. I plan to create some editing tutorials soon. Thanks!
Great intro. Am saving up for one of these as my first drone. How do you get that cloud effect like the one 9.07. Is that using an ND filter for slower shutters… ?
Got this as a back up/throw away drone for weather. Did a test run and the quality in picture mode is absolutely trash. I'm hoping it's just the like of an SD card and being sent straight to the phone so it's not getting all the information as if it had an SD card. I'm used to mav 2 and 3.
When I make my shutter speed double my FPS it is so overexposed and idk why. I litteraly have to make it 1/1000 for it to be nicely exposed in golden hour. Can someone help
I have a drone DJI mini se I fly it and no problem about the distance , lately when I fly it it only fly 50 meter and it’s says you reach the maximum distance which is only 50 meters . What’s wrong ?I need help.
To much talk. No real information. More like a sales pitch. Generalities that don't help but rather irritate. We need to know what to do and where it is on the screen. Slowly on key points please.
