Very good video! One thing I would add is the gimbal calibration and manual adjustment. From what I have seen in the forums, it is pretty common for mini drones to have gimbal misalignment (which I believe is also noticeable in your video), and so you can manually adjust by a number of degrees you wish. This fixed my horizon twist for good. Thanks
I’m glad that I could help, my course dives into tips, settings, resources and insights even deeper. Definitely consider my course while it is on special (33% off): www.fearlessdrone.academy

Picked up an SE earlier this week and very impressed by the footage and photos. Having flown a few RC planes in the past, I'm a little curious to the best way to steer around obstacles - do most people just use the right stick and add a little left/right into the mix, or do you use the left stick to slightly spin the drone while moving forward to steer? Also, if flying between trees etc, do you eyeball the drone, or watch the screen? Cheers - John.
Good questions mate, I hope that you are enjoying your drone. I like to control my drone with the right stick and then use the left stick for subtle movements. I also want a clear line of sight with my drone so that I can see any potential obstacles coming up ⬆️
That’s exciting Linda! This is the perfect starter drone, I do have a drone course for beginners - it is packed with insights, guidance and strategies to avoid common mistakes. The Fearless Drone Academy has everything that you need to know about flying your drone 🚀 Check it out: www.fearlessdrone.academy 👈
Mini SE is a great drone. Its wind resistance is better than a lot of other drones. But it is still advisable to check the wind speed on apps like UAV forecast or Tomorrow Weather (used to be Climacell) before flying.
I never fly in winds/gusts over 30km/h. Especially with the Mini SE. Larger drones can handle stronger wind conditions but you’ve got to be careful with the mini drones. They can sometimes struggle to fly against the wind 💨
I was already thinking about buying one of the mini SE drones after watching this I’m definitely going to buy one I have been using phone the parrot bebop drone and it’s a good drone for first time drone users but I want something a bit more compact and with a smaller control
No worries at all, I love creating content to help people. My drone course is the next evolution of my tips and settings videos but it has EVEN more insights, resources and high quality video tutorials. I would love your thoughts: www.fearlessdrone.academy 🚀

@@DansTubeTV Ok very impressed with Mavic Mini SE this baby packs a punch for a little drone. This is my second drone. WOW! I have a Xiaomi Mi drone and for the life of me I can't get the app to work and I paid 400 at the time. This here! very impressed with the app as well it's reliable and that's very important to me after my bad experience with Xiaomi.

@@DansTubeTV just ordered my mini SE last night I instantly subbed to you this morning ! I wrecked my phantom 3 pretty bad broke the gimbal and have been struggling to reassemble it with new parts ., So figured I'll pick another dji up in the mean time.
Is there a way to manually change at what battery percentage the drone starts the noisy alarm warning battery is low and to land? Mine does that at 20% which is good for long range flight, but when I potting around at the park in line of sight I'd rather make it like 10% be where the alarm starts.
Good video. Just bought one of these. One question you may know the answer to: does the map preload? Or is it like "live". I am asking, as where I intend to use the drone, there is no 4G or reception at all (totally off grid).
Great question, you will need to connect to the internet/4G to cache the map. If you’re wanting to learn more about your drone then my drone course could be a great investment: www.fearlessdrone.academy
Hi love my Mini SE & enjoy flying it. I am in Australia where the sun is bright, as such, some times hard to see the iPhone screen, have also used my iPad, similar problem. Any suggestions as how to get round this problem? Obliges Norman Wettie
I would suggest buying a sun visor for your controller - they work really well. Look on eBay or Amazon. If you need anymore guidance during your drone journey then check out my drone course, it is the perfect starting point for beginners: www.fearlessdrone.academy 👈

Hey Dan, fellow Aussie here. Quick question, I took the drone out for the first time today and found that in manual mode it would let me change the shutter speed/ISO but not the exposure. Is there a way to control the exposure or aperture on the SE or is it some sort of locked setting. I'm aware than another DJI model has a locked aperture of 2.8. I've searched online for an answer all afternoon and am yet to find it. Cheers and thank you for the informative video.
You can just follow this video while you adjust the settings, they will not be this way by default. If you need more support or guidance then check out my drone course: www.fearlessdrone.academy 👈
I've had my drone over a year and still learned some useful tips. I never knew about the extra 20 degree upward tilt with the gimbal. How cool! Can't wait to try that out. Thanks!
Thanks a lot for the info. I’ve just bought mine and I’m loving it but I don’t know if it’s my settings or something, because when I’m recording it’s does 10 seconds maximum recording 😢
That is very weird. You might need to invest in a new Micro SD card. If you need more drone support then my drone course has everything that you need to know: www.fearlessdrone.academy
They might have moved it into the gain and expo settings. Search your menu’s for that! I also created a drone course for beginners that might appeal to you: www.fearlessdrone.academy
