Thanks for the straight forward review! This is gonna be my first drone and too many other reviewers get so detailed in the “hardcore details” that it’s kinda off putting for drone beginners, this review hit the spot though!
I don't have any experience with drones, but a friend who uses a drone in his work recommended this drone. He says he uses it as his backup drone. So, I clearly don't know what I am talking about. But, I have been blown away by what it can do. I have fun flying at low heights and making it slide and weave as if it were on a slalom course. When I've flown it higher to capture footage, it has all the quality I need. Is it possible I could outgrow this drone? But I think that would only happen if I were to do something professional. By the way, you are a perfectionist about your English. Your accent is nearly imperceptible and your grammar and vocabulary are native-level.
@@epigenetics9798 obviously not perfect yet this guy is from Russia, i believe people there aren’t usually as good in English as In other countries (correct me if I’m wrong) so it is quite impressive
Just got mines! Well worth the money. I never flew a drone and was flying in 10 seconds. Love it!! Battery got low and it returned to me. Went up too high ( couldn’t see it) but landed right in front of me. I didn’t have to do anything. I believe it went to high because I didn’t adjust the return height.
Good quality, cost effective, easy to use, takes photos and videos… an impossible package to come across in the drone world it so happened.. until now!
For anyone wondering he was in CE mode, its why he didn't get much range. You can bypass it for FCC by changing the location of your android using some apps like fake location.
I like the part where you said it’s like taking an iPhone to the sky and taking videos / pictures with it. That’s basically the quality of the picture on this drone. I was a little disappointed by that but from 2.7k to 4K there’s not much difference. I’m happy with the drone overall, it’s sitting in my room right now but I’m watching videos to feel comfortable before I fly it.
Best Drone for the Money I've ever seen or heard of. I own the D.J.I. mini with fly more combo... It's perfect. It's great to practice with and get good filming techniques and improving my Cinematography skills. When I am r day to get a Better quality drone with more capabilities. It will be because I've mastered this Mini and gotten the most out of it. It's a great Tool for film students making projects. The post production editing is still very good with 2.7k quality on Just about any Editing software.
Thanks so much for doing this review. I think 2k video is going to be good enough for most uses online so this drone has a bright future. I do not use drones very much because of the liability and the cost of replacement. This drone's price and weight makes using it a lot more attractive. I do not need FAA licensing and crashing or losing it will not break the bank. I am going to purchase one or two because it will allow me to experiment and develop shooting styles in a cost effective manner. I think DJI did well bringing this smaller less expensive entry level drone to market. Your English is great, way better then my Russian, lol. Where did you vacation in Turkey? Also do you sell/ license footage you have shot?
Hey, Robert! Thank you for kind words! I also do think this drone is a great bank for a buck and worth purchasing! I had my vacation in Alanya and yes, I do sell some footage on stock platforms, but I work 50/50 with my partners so they take care about all the uploading stuff and the footage has no reference to me as a person)) check out my review of the DJI air 2s - it’s also one of the best drones out there and the view of Dagestan, Russia where I shot this review are amazing! Stay tuned, mate)
Hi "chapter 1 " lol just FYI you do need to have a part 107 if you want to do anything more with your footage . Ie. Instagram, RU-vid, Facebook, social media . dig real deep in to local laws. kinder annoyed that I did not do my homework before buying this drone... fly more combo cost 669$ my local laws say that I cannot fly with 5km of a local aerodrome! for obvious reasons must not fly over people .private property without permission! To maintain sight at all times. I have three around hospital heliport local airport and a tourist heliport. I can fly it in shielded manner of no higher then the tallest object where i flying so I'm buggered for height . also if I want to say share my footage online i have to get a part 107 & "105" because by having the intention of uploading to social media "MY intent would be to monetise my footage. for commercial use the faa do RU-vid searches of local area and crack down on those doing dumb stuff which by the rules and laws that the faa or caa. states could result in 100k fine ..confiscation or prison time if serious offences are committed However having said that .. i can say i have flown well over the local height limit of 400ft or 120m .i took this beauty up to " "m ... and when i did so ..wow the view held it there for 40 odd seconds and brought it home ... awesome review. and then i read the below comment . well im going to still post it
The mini 2 has 4K but in reality the picture quality isn’t thag different at all. I mean both have the same sensor size and it only really makes a difference after post. But I do agree with the transmission as if ur gonna be flying far away then ocusync is better
Good review, hope your safe no further comment regarding current affairs for obvious reasons. The SE is a great drone yes the mini 2 is better but the price difference doesn’t get you a lot more, the wi-fi is the main advantage if you have the money yes but if on a budget you shouldn’t be disappointed with the SE.
Signal strength could vary on interference. Considering you were flying in a beach with lots of people, I think that there was a lot of interference there. I’ve seen other reviews which have taken it as far as 2800 meters but over flat plains and fields.
The range is affected because of location and eu restrictions,I had dji spark few years ago and had same issue max would be 400m and would want return,I installed app called floater which tricks the drone that it's in a different country like America after that I was getting 2000m with no issues
I just got the drone today and just realised that they made 2 models 1 for each region and apparently they have different chips,I will try to do the hack and do a range comparison,I've seen few people using range extenders with good outcomes so that might be our only option in Europe.
@@gamingvariation1323 so ya basically the American version is better because has stronger 5.8ghz transmission, but Europe version we can switch 5.8 to 2.4,2.4 would be best in the country side that has no WiFi interferance,I have got the range extenders for the 2.4 just haven't gotten a chance to try out yet
Do you think the the Mini 2 is worth the extra range and price? I don’t care about the 4K, I’m just worried the SE is going to have connectivity issues.
I think your English is quite good. One thing: pronounce "pier" as Peeer. The Mini SE is a great choice for someone like me who wants a second, much lighter drone to take hiking, but has a professional drone for day-to-day work. Keep it up, your reviews are excellent.
With lower spec compare to dji mini 2, in Jakarta-Indonesia, the price is Rp. 11 million (USD 770)!!!. CRAZY!!! DJI must chek and review the reseller in Indonesia. They must take action.
So this is a frankenstein mash up between the Mavic Mini 2 and Mavic Mini 1. Battery = Mini 2, Camera = Mini 1, Controller = Mini 1. The deal breaker here is the controller. I had a Mavic Mini 1 and lost it in the ocean due to bad signal. I'd rather save up for the Mini 2 with Ocusync 2.0 for reliable signal at greater than 500m range.
Hi, thanks for the great review. I am tossing up between the mini SE or 2. I like the price of the SE of course but not the low range. When it cuts out is it just the picture on the phone breaking up or the recorded video footage on the drone as well? I wouldn't imagine it's the video footage itself, but if it is it would be more annoying.
A sun shade or umbrella ? Oh & I’ve really been watching to get a mini 2 but now the SE is out I don’t know what to get. I’d like to save a bit if I can do I’m thinking by if the SE now it’s out here, but again I would like to have a few more features & I wouldn’t mind sensors but the air 2 is out of my budget. Also I like the transmitter & the signal on the mini 2. See how I’m on the fence. I don’t know what to get.
Get the mini 2. Better camera, better transmission range and much better in moderate wind. You won’t be able to fly the se in moderate gusty wind above 15 km per hour. Only buy the se if budget is an issue.
Great review. Very informative and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with your English my friend, but what would I know I’m Australian and we speak it terribly. 😂👍
Thank you very much for the review. I'm Thai. In Thailand, every drone with a camera must be registered. But I understand and accept. You have a great review, I use DJI mini se for my thoughts too. It's a very good drone and it's worth the price. It's enough for today's online photo or video work.
Finally, im waiting for you review, very nice! do you think if i use a signal booster (antenna amplifier) the problem gone? Greetings from Chile, dude!
Love the video! Thanks for sharing. I'm planning to get the mini se and as a first time drone buyer would advise yo go ahead with the SE or the mini 2? Also, is DJI care refresh available in Canada for replacements? Thank you
I am doing a project for youtube using my iphone 13mini and am filming it at 1080p 60, do you think the footage of the SE will be a reasonable match for my iphones?
