Which one is better for vlogging like walking around city and places?

@urukira-shinar if it's daylight, the Action 3 or Action 4 would be better for vlogging with the wider field of view.

Yep, they both make good vlogging cameras but each do better in certain situations depending on what you’re filming.

Depth of view on P2 is interesting , giving a more « reflex » look to the footage as you said. In fact I sold my ZV-1 and big gimbal: Pocket 2 is not as good but it makes the job and I prefer compact package when travelling (Pocket + Action+ One X3 + eventually drone … so having a big camera is too heavy, especially for motorbike travel)

@@TamaraGabrielUK Having an issue with it trying to straighten corners then jumping when filming through the windscreen. I sent you an email but it had a link in so probably went into spam. It transpires that there is no fix - it’s just the aggressive stabilisation. I need something with less aggressive stabilisation that doesn’t try to straighten bends in the road. If I switch off stabilisation the footage is too bumpy. The Sony FXR seems to have it just right - who knew? 🤦🏼‍♂️

Yeah 4K120 when shooting certain b-roll shots whilst vlogging is great, but I guess it’s one of those things where certain features will mean more to one person than another. Pocket 2 for me is great when shooting alongside my A7s III because the footage matches better, in that instance I’d leave the A3 at home.

I was about to mention that... The pocket 2 is a focusing camera and the Action 3 is a fixed focus camera - for some that's a key consideration. (I was going to say that the Action 3 is an unfocused camera but I resisted the temptation, and anyway they seem to have resolved that issue now). Great video, Tamara.

The date is written on the box as the year and month like (Y/M) 2022/8

I think if you know you’re going to filming a lot in low light, then sticking with a full frame camera is the better option.

@@TamaraGabrielUK Thanks for replying. Yes it is the better option really, but the bulk and weight is making it tough. Same with gimbals, I'm trying to balance light-weight with good performance. Not easy to get right.

Thank you. Yeah, Sony A7s III. Outdoors I used the Sony 16-35mm F2.8 GM with a Freewell Mist VND Filter. And indoors I used the same camera but with the Sony 24mm F/1.4 GM and Freewell 1/8 Mist filter. And then about three COB LED lights. Filming in SLog3 and colour grading with FilmConvert Nitrate, which is an awesome plugin.

Thanks! My old units with the focus issue were 08/22. My new ‘fixed’ unit is 11/22. If you think you have a focus issue, firmware won’t fix it, it’s a hardware issue so you’d need to get in touch with DJI for a replacement.

@@TamaraGabrielUK Thanks Tamara. I just received another Action 3 Camera and it’s manufacture date is 11 / 2022. I filmed with this unit and the original 08/2022 manufactured unit side by side. It was immediately noticeable the newer 11 / 2022 camera had a sharper image. Both cameras had the latest firmware installed. Not only was the 11 / 2022 manufactured camera sharper but the colour and detail had significantly improved. I think there is more than just a focus issue with the older units manufactured in August 2022. Great now to have a camera I can use in all modes with great results.

Action 3 in Normal looks more natural in colours compared to H11 in Natural. But H11 in flat which is then graded looks better to me.

While a very late commenter, I just realized; with a Smatree Portable Osmo Pocket 2 PowerStick and as an extension rod attached to the camera, the Pocket 2 is able to run about six (6) hours, continuously, over an equivalent to a whole two (2) additional charges worth of added usage to its original battery capacity. That seems economical when you consider a Pocket 2 has recently been priced approximately seventy dollars ($70.00 US) below the Action 3. And, that the particular extension rod -with its internal battery- might come within the price range close to the amount only of comparatively a couple of separate batteries which so long as detached you maybe have to insert very slowly, one after the other, into the Action 3 just to get it to last anywhere near as long… I just got to root, and since I got my own Pocket 2 possibly amounting now to some real cost-savings!

I actually really like the HERO10, I still have mine and use it alongside my HERO11. Some people have trouble with overheating and crashing. Mine overheated once on a really hot day, but that’s it. I’ve otherwise had a good experience. I actually use my GoPro more than my Action 3 because I prefer the quality of the GoPro.

Electronic stabilisation not working with ND filters is the same for any camera. EIS needs a high shutter speed in order to work effectively, which is also why it doesn't really work in low-light situations.

@@TamaraGabrielUK Thanks for the music tip. And yes, agree 100% on those comments The pockets 2 is more for people who are serious about image quality. But the pockets 3 is an excellent all-rounder built for action. Its interesting that the GoPro Hero 11 can be bought for just £50 extra, and The mini 11 is now on special offer too. One last thing, do you own, or have you tried the Sony X3000? It really does well in 1080p, and some vloggers are finding this preferable to the rest. Cheers.
