wait....so the only upgrade is the ability to shoot vertical and the number from 3 changed to 4?

Thanks for the review! I'm wondering if you can use the focus pro grip and lidar with the motor without needing the gimbal? It'll be a good accessory to use on a rigged cine cam

I have the smallrig cage for the iPhone 15 pro max can I connect this directly to the gimbal out of the box?

I'd love to see it tested using the Canon r5c with the RF 5.2 mm dual fisheye lens. I also like to see how that lidar works with it.

I already own the FIZ hand unit Nucleus M from tilta, and their focus motors. If I can use them on the RS4 Pro independantly that would be great. But I think I'll lose the auto tracking capabilities with the Lidar system.

The DJI site lists the Canon EOS R5 compatible with RS4 and EOS R5C compatible with RS4 Pro. Have you tested the EOS R5C with the RS4? If it works, what limitations are there?

Dear B&H, please test some heavier cameras on the gimbal. Ideally an Ursa Mini. If it works and functions well on the RS 4 Pro, I'll buy one.

How does the gimbal communicate with the camera? Blue tooth or wi-fi?

Hey Joe & B&H, which gimbal would you use for Tamron 35-150 and ZV-E1? Regular RS4 or do you think RS4 Pro would have more stable footage?

Does the M button do anything in video mode for a Canon camera? I have a R6 Mark II and can't get the button to do anything in video mode. Appreciate any help!

Can you use the lidar system without the gimbal?

nothing's changed...? i have the rs3 pro and the vertical mount plate they sell. my lidar already works fine. DJI always with the minor changes...

Just got it, sad to say that the vertical “quick release” feature doesn’t work when you have a cage on. So not so quick after all. Gotta destruct the whole rig just to shoot vertical

Im using a Canon R5 with RF 24-70 f2.8 - I presently have the RS2 pro - which one should I upgrade to? Can I get away with just the RS4

RS4 looks good for mirrorless cameras with 24-70mm, but my concern is that how will it perform with same setup mounted vertically. If someone can and plz.

Does anyone know if gimbals like this can be connected to tripod type systems? I'm a wheelchair user and have had to think outside the box in terms of photography. I currently have my mirrorless camera set on a manfrotto variable friction arm which I clamp to my wheelchair which takes the weight of the camera (with quick release plate to get that unexpected shot you weren't set up for). Having only recently started making videos as part of a creative arts degree, I'm intrigued at what options are available to take smooth footage (shaking is introduced both from a tremor I have when holding the camera for a period of time and 'bounce' if I try to record whilst moving my wheelchair with the camera attached). I appreciate this is probably a fairly niche situation so would love to hear of any potential solutions people can think of!

I got the Rs4 pro and it does seem to be smoother and better. Some small updates but I am really disappointed with all the talk about going from horizontal to vertical but it won’t with a bigger camera like the Canon R3. The arm is to far from the motor and can’t slide the horizontal arm enough for it to balance.

Doesn't the rs3pro have a 13lbpayload?

I think this should be mandatorily included with all Sony cams, due to their 'active' stabilizer that cannot stabilize even if their entire company worth of pixels depended on it! Cheers 🍻

I might be alone here, but I honestly can't imagine ever using the vertical option. If I want a video to look like it's been shot on a phone... I'd shoot on a phone.

Doesn't look like a reason to upgrade from the 3 to the 4. Noted. The differences are super minor.
