DK Metcalf and the Seattle Seahawks match up against Marshon Lattimore and the New Orleans Saints in week 7 of the 2021 NFL season. #espn #nfl #saints #seahawks #football
@@Ceedauno Marshon doesn’t really instigate anything. Marshon is a very quiet guy, he won’t start talking unless you start doing stuff to him, and knowing how DK is, you know there’d be a fight. Marshon has a right to stand up for himself, especially knowing how DK fights so many DBs..
i dont really care how much times he got disrespected by the refs and dk, he didnt let up against someone who is half a foot taller and 50 pounds heavier
DK should have been called for pass interference on that first one. He grabbed a fat handful of jersey and pulled him down forward. Refs blew that one.
As a Saints fan. There must be something about that side of the field for Marcus Williams over his career. Smh. Flashback to 2017-18 playoff against Minnesota. Maybe is just me
As a tampa fan I have the upmost respect for lattimore! Dude has terrorized my team more than any other corner! Underrated as heck! Firm handshake to this man!
I like how Lattimore stood his ground and the fact that DK had an early TD for 84 yards and ended the game with less than a hundred yards means that Lattimore can claim him on his taxes now. I’m happy to see the Saints defense getting some sacks now.
No that shows how terrible seattles coaching is🤣 they wouldn’t be able to win with a whole legacy team of the greatest players to ever play. I fucking hate them
@@LifeChangingPicks tbf the safety could've saved the td and probably half his yardage but he completely botched the tackle. ppl are also saying dk got away with opi but either way even if lattimore lost his footing, the safety should've did better
DK is the exact reason why Calvin Johnson was a Holy Grail of a wideout... Your telling me there was someone that big with the ability to run anything besides slant crosses and Go routes.
Lattimore didnt "lose his footing" on the TD pass Metcalf drug him to the ground. That was clear offensive pass interference.Kudos to Marshon Lattimore for hanging in there and helping his team get the W.
Look closer it would’ve been now way he could shove him down using only wrist strength. It was some contact but it was more of lattimore tripping up then a push-off. Also his cleat did catch some contact from D.K’s so that’s also another reason he fell.
@@tyresejohnson2704 yo sorry ass receiver had a 84 yard td at the start of the game and still managed to end the game with less than 100 yards receiving stfu
Good to know we got DK back with Geno Smith having a real shot at being #1 QB for hawks. He actually targets the most physically adept receiver on the field.
He got beat on the 5th play of the game for an 85 yard td. Then had needed help from the safties to guard him. He gave up a total of 96 yards and a td to him. That’s a win for dk
@@platypus_bear133 it want pi. And u know if Russ was is there is no question dk would have balled out more. He had a good game aganist a great corner and y’all just can’t admit it
@@gohawks6239 just like nearly every other CB would. When you’re battling an elite wide receiver, most of the time you will have safety help. Your job is to limit or lock up that elite wide receiver to keep them from making big plays on you. Cut the bull crap. The Saints secondary got the job done, deal with it.
I wasn’t surprised that first target would be a fluke. This is similar to what happened back in 2019. DK makes a big play, but goes nonexistent, but despite that, he did get some flags on Marshon, but Marshon did well. Both Tyler Lockett and DK were non existent majority of the game. So much for “bullying”…..all that just to hardly do anything for the 2nd straight matchup..
@@ToadsarebetterthanFrogs yes it was, it went down exactly as I expected. Shannon made some comments about DK and he was really wanting to show out tonight, so I wasn’t surprised when he was trying to instigate several altercations versus Marshon.
Geno smith is the QB they aint finna be having no 100 yd games unless the make super great plays like DK did early in the game but thats not how u really win in the NFL because everybody got good players but its about which team makes the least mistakes.
his second year in the league was more yards then sharpe has had in any of his season 🤷🏽♂️ when it’s said and done dk is projected to have a better career in damn near every state
@@retardedrevolver56 He should have more yards than Sharpe every season... TF?? Shannon played in a run heavy league, on a run heavy team, with a Hall of Fame RB, and Shannon was a TIGHT END!! DK plays in a PASS HEAVY league, on a Pass HEAVY team, with a Hall of Fame QB and he has a really really good receiver across from him... Oh yeah and DK is a WR. So yeah...
@@DeeboComing The seahawks have never been a pass heavy team. Tf you talkin about?😭. The only year they tried doin that was last year but stopped half way through the year.
5:13 come on if theyre gonna call it on lattimore you have to call it on dk as well... that was clearly hands to the face by dk if not an open hand punch. hate how they always only call the retaliation
This same stupidity happened with Mike Evans back in week 1 of the 2020 season, Mike Evans got away with a shove, but they flagged Marshon for retailiating, they always go for the 2nd guy (the guy who retaliates). I wish they’d go for the person who started the whole altercation.
@@brewproductionz2 Well, not in all cases, this happened with Dez Bryant and Malcolm Butler back in the 2020 season Wildcard game Ravens @ Titans where Malcolm shoved Dez, but Dez retaliated and he got flagged.
Besides that 1 fluky touchdown which easily could've been OPI, Marshon clamped him and continues to solid himself as a top 5 corner, outside of Ramsey there isn't a corner in the NFL as complete as Lattimore tackling and covering period end of story.
@@elijahgraham862 Bro stop tryna take away from Marshon he’s a 3 time pro bowler he’s the best corner the Saints ever had he just clamped Adams and McLaurin and tied an NFL record for pass breakups in a game he’s a top 3 corner in the game and 2nd most complete corner in the league not named Ramsey I stand on it and it’s corny so many people hate on greatness smh….🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Not really, I mean, some of this calls were ticky tacky with Dk at fault, but at the end of the day, he really played Lattimore Which is a surprise given that he’s usually the one suffering from emotional play
@@abizitgill4310 ticky tac man D.K .Metcalf a dirty player he got away with bull all game but i didn't do him no good they still lost what i don't understand he was pushing Lattimore in the face it should've been a flag on both players or just on Metcalf he started and on that touchdown he caught was dirty he pulled him down it was offensive PI and the referee's for the game need to be fined for the bias job they did tonight in all honesty the Saints beat the Monday night crew the Refs and the Seahawks tonight
@@MS-uj8dg nah he really not bra I'll take Marshon in dat matchup with Wilson DK not a factor like dat plus the Saints don't have Michael Thomas so and Drew Brees retired and what and tell me dat those wasn't bs calls 💯
@@Y.A.504 Nahhh Russ woulda been getting DK that ball where he needed it instead of bouncing it on the damn floor like Geno was. DK a factor even tho safeties be over the top of him every play. Thats why alotta corners look good against him. Put them 1 on 1 with him every play and its over!
@Jim Shock lmao 2 catches means he got clamped buddy and that first touchdown was an OPI they don’t call offense penalties like that after he had hand to the face and pushed him down before the ball got to his hand and he got clamped alll after that one fluke play
@Big Jay first, that had nothing to do with happened because Derrick Henry is vs an entire defense. So if he did put up 94 yards you didn’t clamp him. Second, if a db allows a 80 yard td and gives up 2 penalties he didn’t clamp a thing.
@@ashezplayboy the shit Dk was doin was in between the whistles and was gettin the best of shon that’s why he felt like he had to do sum everytime Dk put him in his ass
@@abdalahmohamed5965 And how’d that benefit him and his team that whole game? All he could do was just draw flags but coverage wise, Marshon locked him up. That was a fluke play that should’ve been called for OPI. DK is a great wide receiver, don’t use that “hE hAd SaFeTy HeLp” stupidity, hardly any CBs can handle a wr 1v1 all game, it’s about setting a game plan and eliminating a receiver or limiting them as much as possible, not some popularity bull crap.
I love how anytime DK loses a matchup, the salty Seahawks fans come out of the woodworks with excuses like “Russ/Geno just wasn’t looking at him”. Like geez, I wonder why.
@Jim Shock Yeah, getting all of those yards on a SINGLE play that arguably could’ve been called for OPI. He got locked up for the rest of the game, how can you say DK won this?
@Jim Shock Watch the game instead of going off of stat lines. I agree with what K Brooks says, there’s always excuses for DK, and all DK did was make one big play and just go nonexistent the rest of the game. All he did was draw flags and attempt to get into Marshon’s head, but failed. If DK had 98 yards off of 7 or 8 catches AGAINST Marshon, this would’ve been different, but the fact that DK barely did anything? There’s no argument to be made, DK lost, he did nothing when it mattered the most.
@@Doll_ie first dk was in his head and you can’t deny that. Second we literally barley passed that entire game Dk with 2 catches was tied for third on the whole team. There no excuse here it’s just facts look at the other team DK would have been third there too no one passed bc of the weather. If this game was normal DK would have beat him no question.
@@midnightio3710 Who cares if DK got in his head, when all he was doing that game was instigate with no repercussions because of receiver bias. I guarantee if it was Lattimore shoving DK after every other play, flags would’ve been thrown. Regardless of all of that, DK got locked, so getting in Lattimore’s head did nothing anyway. Also, this isn’t the first time Lattimore played well against Metcalf, so that last point is reaaaaal ignorant lol.
Folks are saying, this game would have been different if Russ was playing, Of course it would have been different. However, the Saints has a whole slew of playmakers that didn't play as well. Deonte Harris, Michael Thomas, Taysom Hill and 8 more.
DK really pulled him down but it’s cool shon clamped him rest of the game and DK beat Ramsey on a post so it’s all good shon still top 2 in the game rn
Don’t understand how everyone is calling his TD a pushoff, their legs got clipped together and Metcalf made the play. 1:02 and slow it down, Lattimore’s right foot collided with the back of DK’s left foot.
That’s the only reason why it’s controversial. He does slip but you can literally see DK stiff arming Lattimore the whole time while he’s trying to to make a play on the ball, that’s what makes it OPI.
First td was a push off lattimore locked him down this game so crazy how offense can get away with terrible calls like this but defense would get punished anyway
Manhood on the line!!😬😬🤔🤔 "Daddy why you let him push you on the ground like that?" How do you explain that to wife and kids? This THAT kinda matchup!!! ✊🏿💯
It’s to draw flags from the opposing team, it’s annoying for a DB, but it sadly is effective. Don’t forget, prior to this gam Shannon Sharpe made some comments about DK, so of course he’d be fired up heading into this matchup.
