Well put my friend. Like X's comrade Jadakiss said "Pain is universal & the one thing we all share". DMX had no racial bias & I know he loved all his fans. Just imagine if he had been given more time on this planet to help advance the spiritual awakening our world needs.
Notice how he is actually rapping, no playbacks, no voiceovers.... just a beat and mad skill on the mic. Also the times were different, no offended millennials, no phones facing the stage, people were just having the time of their life. RIP mad dawg.... 😢
No one was offended, just a shit ton of sexual assaults, riots and arson. This concert is great, but woodstock 99 is not a proud moment for my generation
@@dpaul428 Yea.... its sad, but those things happen in huge festivals like Woodstock. My point is that there ain’t no spoiled byproducts called ticktockers trying to cancel the festival....
My child hood hero. I literally accepted going to private school as long as my people copped me Then There Was X, my mom gave the ok when she heard him pray. This ain’t the way X is supposed to go😔😣
DMX never promoted drug use in his music and for that he’s a true legend handle shit behind close doors. Anyone out there struggling you’re not alone there’s help. You got this 🙏
@@suiken3149 I think you'll find that dmx is now being put in a coffin because of it. Sure our generation is pretty soft, but asking for help doesn't make you soft, and it's disgusting that you think it does.
@@cillianduggan6581 Im not saying that asking for help is weak. Im saying that being in deep shit made them tough. Lots of people during that era grew up in a really messed up environment, compared to the safe space that is social media these days. There is a quote that says: "Hard times create strong people, strong people create good times, good times creates weak people and weak people create hard times"
His growl alone would set the crowd off. His energy and vibe was genuine. His connection to ppl was beyond real. I'm sitting with tears in my eyes watching this. He was beyond blessed with a talent that was so hard to describe, define or put into words. He did, what he did, exceptionally well. Delivering his story.
Not even Jay did it like this.. X was one of a kind, had a special bond with his fans and his music spoke truth... So many similarities between him and PAC.. 😪 RIP dog...finally at peace ❤️
You will never see another 100k crowd no phones in sight... literally eating out of X’s hand... Legendary performance... hoping he pulls through one more time!
If you’re looking at this in 2023 and you are a 90s baby we had some good time❤ the only rapper to perform in front of 300,000 people was in the generation
Grew up in the 90s and today... and I wish we could go back in time and be in that period again.. idgaf what anyone says times were better, ppl were happier. And everyone was in the moment and actually interacted with each other..
@@wtfj4462An estimated 400 thousand people. The most in attendance for any rapper. Ever. Saturday 250k+ when the State Troopers showed up in riot gear.
My dad has know DMX for 15+ years. My dad did the TMZ interview with him at the church in Phoenix, Arizona when he was making that gospel album. Super nice dude, I’m honored I got the pleasure to meet him multiple times. Hope you pull through 🙏🏻
I'm 21 an a early 2K baby from South London. I grew up as a little ass kid listening to him when I was like 4 years old with my uncle and his CD players back in the mid to late 2000's but back then I couldn't fully understand the lyrics, I started listening to DMX myself when I was old enough to understand the lyrics when I was like 11 in 2014 on my way to secondary school, DMX was a different type of real and the energy that came from his music just gave you goosebumps, he was just different🔥🔥. Ryde or die 1&2 and It's dark and hell is hot are still some of my favourite Hip-Hop albums till now (no death bias). He will always be one of the realest rappers for 90's kids and even early 2000's kid's like me. I wish I was born a little earlier so I could have experienced atleast one of his concerts because even though I grew up heavily listening to DMX as a kid in the 2000's, I was still only a little boy at the time but I'm happy I got to know X's music when he was still alive, it could've been worse I could've been a 2010's or even worse a 2020's kid so I'm happy I grew up listening to X as a child. It's 2024 and I still listen to him till now, X was HIM at one point R.I.P🙏🏾😔🙅🏾♂️
This just bought tears to my eyes knowing this was the type of music I grew up with in my lifetime, these new rappers could never pull this off even if all of them was performing in the same show
Depends what you mean, Em can still make a crowd pop tf off, ain't many around who can now days though, DMX was just the hype king, had the unique voice and charisma to make everyone love his music.
It's so refreshing to watch a concert before cell phones. Everyone having a blast dancing and going crazy...now all you see is a sea of cell phone screens.
Let us just take this moment to celebrate him all over the world like almost the whole world did at this performance! You goin to heaven but your energy remain to all of us! X and Ruff Ryders forever! RIP LEGEND!
24 years later.... listing to this still bumping my head singing along..... I'm from Chicago he used to come here and party no security in little village on the inner south side of Chicago ( around cook county jail) he was loved in this city and hit blocks like he was regular guy and showed love to fans here rip dmx
I come back to this video to remember how much of an impact this legend had on hip hop. He might not go down as the best rapper, but there is no doubt in my mind he was the best performer. We love and miss you X. Thank you for your contribution to music💙🤍
Damn someone needs to gather as much footage as possible from all of his concert and tours . I have never seen him in a full concert and from one song here, it looks almost spiritual.
