Maybe I missed it, but what improvement does the replacements legs give (other than changing the shape of Fort Max's head?) As for Fort Max himself, I'm not too big on the light-up feature for his eyes. When not in use, it just looks lifeless and such. I'd prefer a solid, metallic paint of red for the eyes, or even light-piping. I'd want an IDW inspired face and head for him, too.
I had a similar complaint about the eyes. It's why the Toyhax sticker set for this guy is impressive. They actually have stickers for the eyes that both allow the lights to shine through, but still look red and alive when the lights aren't on.
That fifth screw on the left arm gave me a lot of trouble. I have a ton of screw drivers and absolutely nothing fit both the screw and that really recessed hole it sits in.
They already did a new hip ratchet set, it comes with a new crotch plate accurate to the original toy (red circle), not sure if its sold separetly or included with the ankle kit.
It is so close too. If they added a second hinge or even moved the current hinge it would have been able to sit alongside the waist. It's my only real nitpick about the set.
@@michael.delano they are actually Gundam chain bases , I bought a load while I was in Hongkong and then ordered some from sirtoys who unfortunately no longer operate. If you google chainbases you should be able to find some for reference
the sad thing is that he lost the cool part of fortress maximus, he was one of the only ones who actually transformed in a city and no (affordable) upgrade kits can solve it...
