There are 2 issues which dnb holders should focus on to get equal importance to MS/MD 1.Name of degree awarded should be changed from DNB to MNB( master / master class). Diplomate always sound Diploma 2.The same way any MS/Md holder can write dnb exam with out any additional clinics/ classs, there should be a plan where dnb holder can also aquire Md/MS

65 % Pass % Theory and practical together in medicine. Still lot of stigma and downlooked DNB. Unless u do don't get MD MS even in any corner of the country then only opt DNB. Hardly 4 residents wil be there for entire department and wil be made to work like donkey. Even 1 month before giving your finial exam u wil be made to do Night duties as well. Single handed. No interns n all. Yes infrastructure might be there in many cooperate hospitals but relax they won't allow you to touch anything. Academics oh pls forget about them.
Relax mam your opinion more like acquisition Here are the merits of DNB 1.No BOND 2.Fixed duty hours 3.Theoraticaly sound( you will study daily considering the passing percentage) Now a days so many platforms boomed for online preparation of dnb nobody wanted to fail u purposefully 3.academics really good in many institutes I did in manipal Banglore. Again it can also acquired by attending CME online webinar case discussions. 4.same stipend as MD MS. 5.preparing for SS is easy as you are in touch with books daily. 6.Better understanding of corporate setup they are the feature of healthcare system,( bitter but truth) 7.no discrimination in corporate hospital you can earn better than a AP in a medical college 8.Dnb in your residential area is better than MD MS which is 1000 of km away .you can setup u're clinic Get your family support and time Yes there are cons.every thing comes with a toll ,your comment may scare doctors to compromise on the branch. Visit the dnb hospital talk to residents and take decision good number of institutes are really a treasure
All dnb hospitals are not the same Lot of queries have to be done before joining a hospital for dnb Academics and hands on won't happen in a few dnb hospitals A pg who has done dnb in a hospital with good academics and hands on is better than an md/ms candidate in terms of knowledge and skills It all depends on in which hospital u r doing dnb
