What you didn't mention though...I'm an inverted triangle and when I wear tight jeans with oversized tshirt and tuck in one side so it looks kool...it looks very good and fits my body well
Everyone’s different unfortuanlty no matter how hard we true to find the right things for our body shapes they still won’t be perfect as we are all so unique ❤ keep wearing whatever makes you feel the best that’s all that matters 🥰
IMO, it depends. I think the pairing looks cool too, but some oversized tops look too baggy and my legs end up looking like twigs, especially when looking at myself from the side. Also, baggy top and skinny jeans makes me look too young, so I have to learn how to style and a for different looks to match the vibe/impression that I want. Fancy, formal, semi-casual, etc. But following the body shape's silhouette is actually a dependable tactic too. Because of my broad shoulders, loose wide necked/V-necked sweaters or long sleeved shirts look good on me and I can just pair that with any skinny jeans and it altogether looks chic with only one addition of necklace on.
Tops that are wide at the bottom and peplums just make my hips look smaller in comparison to all that fabric. I think these are typical advice from someone who is not an inverted triangle them selves. And the wide jeans/pants make my hips/but really tiny ... 😅
Crop tops work best with wide pants. You can also wear skirts but they can't be tight fitting skirts. They have to be loose to create an illusion of hips. At least those are what worked for me. Skirts that are soft and that falls in a flowy way (ruffled and pleated skirts don't work on me lol), and maybe skirts of stiffer fabrics? I'm inverted triangle with teeny tiny titties, so I'm speaking mostly from experience, but if you check out this one short, you'll immediately get why it's important to know how create a silhouette ( ru-vid.comltQIAd5Qab4?si=FjX913n_URBbks4E - "how to flatter a door body type" ). Honestly, I think some of the typical advices work irl, maybe not on all people because our tastes are subjective, but even thought our hips stay looking small, they look okay and normal when the waist is accented. Like it's really important for us to either accentuate our waists, or "create" the illusion of a waist to balance our frame since the waist is smaller than the hips (even as inverted triangles), therefore making our hips more apparent. Cropped tops, tucked in shirts, and or big belts help accentuating waists; heavy bottomed tops create an imaginary line between top and bottom that serve as the illusion of a waist. Wide pants are still going to look more flattering than skinny jeans because it hides the real width of the narrow hips and emphasizes the beautiful thighs instead (which I personally like). But sometimes, following the body shape isn't that bad sometimes. Our wide shoulders make wide necked/V necked loose flowy tops - both short and sleeved ones - look good on us and we can simply pair that with a good pair of jeans of whatever cut you like. Makes an effortlessly classy or chic look.
No, no, no, it's not the wide shoulderd that need styling - it's the narrow hips. The lack of hips makes a lack of shape or silhouette and it's just not pretty. I'm inverted triangle shape and I'm actually happy about my wide shoulders most of the time. But it's hard to balance my silhouette and not look like a door or a stick with a square upper half if I neglect picking the right bottoms.
@@gabagooler yeah why give advice and tips on body shapes that you don’t have & are not yours…so crazy of her And why comment on a another comment when you can just make your own individual comment…so silly of you
@@nolimitkk2715 a stylist usually minds the business that pays them… A GOOD stylist specializes in certain styles, designs, body shapes & occasions. A good stylist let’s their work speak for itself. A good stylist also doesn’t claim body types that are not theirs. They understand bodies come in different shapes and sizes and know their body type may not be the same as the types they’re designing/ styling for. They don’t claim body types for views, sympathy/empathy, likes, or appraisal. Let me guess, you ‘like’ the “stylist” in the video because she makes you feel included. She makes you feel like you’re the same; you and her. That’s not a good stylist. A good stylist definitely knows the difference in body types/shapes & is honest to better assist the customer on choosing the most optimal style design. My original comment on this video was not about the knowledgeability of a stylist. However, as any good stylist can clearly tell, the woman in the video is obviously not the body type she claims. A good stylist would be able to determine that. A good stylist is knowledgeable in their body type vs their candidates body type and how to style each accordingly. The woman in the video obviously cannot make such distinction. Is that a knowledgeable stylist to you? Someone who can’t even decipher where they themselves fall on the category of body type/shape to style…? I stated the obvious in my original comment. The obvious must be a trigger for the delusional
She's not an inverted triangle type that's why her visual demonstration isn't accurate. Every outfit she wore that she said don't work on inverted triangle types work on her, so her advice isn't very convincing when what you see don't coincide with what she says
@@lexsi80 you're right im probably not inverted riangle, i probably don't know my body shape too and i probably definitely will never search "how to dress for inverted triangle body shape" and saves like 5 videos of it in my playlist
@@misukiie …but you’ll make useless comments under videos that don’t pertain to you. Get your senses fixed cause your actions and comments are senseless & futile
Ok. I get it. But what about inverted triangle shape short chuby girls??? I'm 1.50 with really short legs and a masive back. Everything I wear doesnt fit quite right so what kind of clothes do You think will fit girls like me?
Idk if I’m an inverted triangle (I always thought I was) bc my shoulders are the widest part of my body & are definitely an issue when it comes to dressing myself (I tend to look way bigger because my shoulders are so broad) but I’ve also read inverted triangles are typically athletic build & I’m curvy. My measurements are : Shoulders - 40 Bust - 38 Waist - 27 Hips - 38 Is this inverted triangle?? I just want to know so I can learn how to dress my self 😅
Hourglass. Your shoulders are only two inches more than your hips, so they’re relatively the same size, and your waist is the smallest. I know I’m late!
“Oh look, you’re shoulders are ugly and manly , make sure no one can tell, and I’m disguising this as body positive because dressing for your body type is progressive and totally not just telling you how to look like you have the right amount of body parts.
