As a mesomorph. My natural body type without working out or dieting is mid. People say I have a nice body but that's with clothes on 😂 without you could definitely see that I wasn't working out. I followed what you said, doing more HIIT and Cardio. While also having a balanced diet of carbs and protein. I immediately saw results in just a few days!! Mostly in my legs! They look more toned and firm. I'm gonna keep going but thank you so much for this video! I sent it to all my friends 😂

I’m a endomorph and I’ve been struggling to lose weight for 3 years now, all the other things I’ve read and watched aren’t as descriptive as this video, having it all laid out for me like this is really helpful. Thank you!
@@biscuit3456 you should try it or you can do stair master same thing but less time tho ! Also if u dont u can jump rope for an hour or if none of them seem convincing just lower ur calories a bit more !
@@evelynarreolaa8859 i naturally walk 5k-7k for work so I’ll just take an extra walk or two during the rest of the day from now on. Thank you for all the suggestions
I’m an endo-meso. I love how my body builds muscle easily but man, if I slack, the weight and fat hits me like a train 😂 I just have to stay consistent 💪🏼💪🏼
Hey could you give me a brief break down of your workout routine I am endo meso as well and I don't know how to incorporate exercises from both endo and meso in my routine
I am an endomorph and I have tried my whole life to work on my body, this information is the best I have read or seen in my whole life and I promise to work on my diet else forth . Thank girl you are the best!
i’m an endomorph, i’ve struggled losing weight my whole life. I am going to use this information as motivation to not give up and keep trying and this time take my body type into account. the diet portion really put things into perspective and i love that!!
Right? I tried the keto diet once and I was constantly eating because I was struggling to keep my calories up to 1200 a day (I heard it’s dangerous to eat less than 1200 cals a day) :c I can’t give up carbs-
It's not that you cannot eat it, but it's just the choices.. Aim for whole carbs or less process grains such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice, soba noodles, quinoa, barley and more!
I’ve started my weight loss journey on May 22. I’ve been writing down everything I eat, drink or do. Tracking has seemed to help. I’ve incorporated vitamins and created a workout plan. With fitness goals. I would be an Meso-Endo - endo being the dominant shape. I was right on track with what works best with my body to lose weight, so thank you for helping me clarify!
So to summarise for us Endomorph Mon - Strength Tues - Endurance Wed - Strength Thur - Endurance Friday - Strength Sat - HIIT Sun - Rest........... I'm dead.
Rice is so bad . I grew up with rice. Now I’m prediabetic LMAO I feel better after I moved out. Who knows talk to your mom to make other types of meals for you
@@kathydelarosa1286 Rice is actually extremely healthy and good for you and your skin, just don’t eat too much. It is a healing type of food as well and helps u look younger.
@@HusbandoCollector it depends on how your lifestyle is and how your body is as well. I rarely eat rice and if I it’s such a tiny portion because my body just produces way too much sugar. I do a low carb diet but that’s another discussion lml white rice is processed , brown rice is better if you’re gonna eat rice. another problem with rice is that its easy to eat a lot of rice and gain a lot of weight from it too
When I dated my ex whose mother's side was fully Mexican his grandmother always told me to make sure he gets fat. Dumb beer drinking, wing eating bastard did that all by himself, but I got all of the credit from her.
@@lillylovesrain7072 nope because he was a son of a motherless goat after our MUTUAL break up he tried to get back with me, but I declined. He then boo-hooed to his family and I got black listed.🤷
What about meso-endomorps? How their diet and exercise would work out Edit: wow never got this many likes. So for that I want to mention that I've determined that I have the meso type and recently started Cloe ting's workouts and its killing me but I'm seeing results in 3 days. Hence proved. Moreover Joanah was my first trainer so forever love and support for her. But now I wanted to try something different. Thanks all :) goodluck to y'all too ❤
Low carb diet and strength/ resistance workouts. HIIT cardio or something that would make the body heart rate pumping. That’s what I do to avoid gaining weight. If I decide to gain weight I simply would switch to more weight training if I decided to do a caloric surplus (slight increase in my carbs about a good 10%)And also more intense HIIT cardio. ( I suggest going to gym classes it helped me to stay motivated) To maintain my lean mass. So I can sport more curves in the summer time. (I’m mesomorph though) But I hope this helps!
@@was_shaky2020 I feel you girl it's hard but I am so happy I found this video because now I know what t do. Also, hips are based on bone structure. So, if you don't naturally have bigger hips then it's going to be really hard to get hips healthily. You can try to gain more fat by eating fatty foods but that's bad and we can't control where our bodies store fat. I think you should love your body and work to being healthy in your own way, because healthy is different for everyone. Some ectomorphs may not have big hips but that doesn't make them any less beautiful! :)
I'm a Meso-Endo combination I've struggled most after my second child. I noticed that mainly strength training worked for me in my late teens and 20's. My late 20's and early 30's is when I started having a harder time getting back into a healthier weight maintenance.
I'm definitely a Meso-Endo. Its also important to talk about hormones... Sometimes we don't have the results we work for, not because we didn't recognise our body type, but because we have hormonal problems. If you think that is your case, like mine, seek to understand better and find a good endocrinologist! Good luck!
I'm an meso-endo with big shoulders, breasts and butt...and I will probably be toned up if I don't sit at my bed binge watching k-dramas the whole time
as an ectomorph my parents would always get mad at how hungry i was throughout the day. they hated how much i ate and thought i was just eating just to eat. im glad to know there wasnt anything wrong with me and that it was natural
I used to watch you back in high school and I learned so much and fell of the weagon after starting college and now found my way back to you and one thing I will say your information is pure Gold you hit so many points within such a short time !!! pure scientic information and I've learned somuch in just one video then any expensive trainer can teach me. they only give general advice and it is so expensive which never made sense to me especially if someone already has a gym membership .
my body type is ENDO-MESO.. cause' when i was still a child i have a skinny body but then once i hit preteenage years i started to gain weight and even more weight till last year. But this year i started to workout and loss about 10lbs i guess. theen, i stopped working out again because i got lazy.
I’m in the 20% for height and weight and I’m pretty much Meso but I feel like it’s easy for me to gain weight or lose muscle definition so ig endo-meso
Yeah I have pictures from my 14 birthday and I remember how insecure I felt next to my friends who were literally the same dress size as me who had flat bellys. Fucking Fatty uterus 🥺
*me literally crying while watching the video because i hate being an endomorph that has serious problems with anxiety, stress and lack of patience* :D
Body struggles are real! And it's harder when you're doing it alone. I had a good experience with Noom, which is partly because it gave me support and a non-shaming approach. I wish we could just focus on being active and healthy and be less focused on how we look, but I know I have the same worries myself. Hang in there!
Wow, this is amazing! I'm ectomorph. I was very slim when I was in my 20s and still slim today. In order to stay healthy, I tried vegetarian diet and low carb but I got all sorts of health problems like light headedness, fatigue, palpitations, cramps, low memory, and muscle pain. Now, I know I can't do those kinds of diet. I'm back to my normal carb intake and eat anything I want except high sugary foods. I feel better. After watching so many videos, I realized that you cannot simply apply any kids of diet and exercise. It should be suitable to your body type and metabolism. I wish more information like this could teach us --who are not into nutrition and exercise. I'm so thankful and proud of you for doing videos like these.
This is the most informative video EVER! My whole life I've been 'skinny' but pretty strong but during covid i gained 10 kilos and was pretty confused, because no matter what i would eat before, it was impossible for me to gain weight. I will use this video as a guide
Same here lol Just it all happened when I moved from Mexico to India. There I'd have the warrior life: go to work 8-9 hrs which included a lot of heavy lifting and buttloads of walking, and I used to eat like a pig, plus coming back from work and tackle the house work. Never did I gain weight, and if I did, one week later those 2kg that I gained over two months, were gone lol. Here, when I got married, I fell into the Queen's life: you have a maid for every chore at home, don't have to do almost anything at all, in the second year I saw the scale go up 8kg. Then the pandemic hit, zero physical activity and I also learned how to bake. Wombo combo lol, got a pretty bulging tummy which I totally hatttteee. However, under those 2cms of fat, lies a pretty hard rock set of abs, which I'm trying to bring to the surface. And this was a pretty good vid because I thought I'd just go for abs initially and then thighs and then arms. But it seems I should keep it balanced. My best wishes in your come-back journey!
I’m a mectomorph, been skinny all my life and now trying to build muscle and become stronger! I eat in smaller portions frequently throughout the day rather than one big meal at a time, but when I tracked my calories I wasn’t eating as much as I should to actually gain. I’ve incorporated protein shakes into my diet and it’s helping lots
This was really helpful! My parents and sisters are ectomorph's, while I am an endomorph. Even when I worked out everyday, atleast 1,5 hours a day, I was heavier than my family. It's always been really frustrating and noone ever explained to me why and how I should eat and excersice, despite having worked with dietitians and fysiotherapists. I'm in a wheelchair now and it's really hard to stay fit and I keep gaining weight. I hope this info finally helps make some adjustments that actually help
Stop putting down slim women all of us don’t have health issues y’all kill me always projecting y’all insecurities on us because we can’t gain weight as much as y’all

@@joannasohofficial Hi Joanna , I've found your channel and enjoy your dietary plans & routines. I was wondering how I can get a slimmer midsection without giving up any strength. I'm an oddball case for sure , I'm meso/endo body type 55 ,5'4" male at a deceiving 195 lbs. I have abs but only if I flex. I want a slimmer look but can't give up any strength, I need that to compensate for the plethora of injuries, I've had 15 surgeries, 11 tears, 10 breaks and clavicle arthritis. To give you an idea of my conditioning I can do 350 assorted pushups ( standard wide military decline diamond & dive bombers) and 180 back exercises in a 50 minute timeframe then walk 2 miles as a cool down. I can also do 450ct out of your 500ct ab challenge. My routines consist of strength cardio and HIIT(hybrid of p90x insanity and now your routines). I do an OMAD diet of 1500-2000 calories 40%protein 30% veggies and 30% fats. I don't eat pork ,dairy and the only sugar I have is in fruits and peanut butter. Red meat and bread is only about twice a month its mainly chicken and fish. I have been slimmer but lost muscle mass and resulted in an increase in pain from my injuries , kind of a catch 22. Do you have any suggestions or ideas ? Keep up the Great work on your channel. I'm really glad I found it
I think I'm meso-endo. I've always been strong, but I've also always been fat. I currently have slow metabolism, but my body does respond well to exercise and I lose weight when I'm maintaining my health. I've yo-yo'd between 230-240 for years. I really think I'd be endo if I was healthier.
omg same, i was looking for such a comment. i have fast metabolism and loss weight after a good basketball game. i weight from 64-66kg it changes everyday.
I'm a mesomorph. I see quick changes in me,in working out even for a few days. But I get back to where I was, within a few days after I stop the regimen.
I’m in endomorph and I finally learnt that hit training and weights was no good. started walking and doing bodyweight workouts and I’ve dropped 14lbs and look leaner..squats are my enemy
amrin it took a few months because I did it slowly and I wanted lasting results. Just walk every single day, there are walking workouts on RU-vid and walk outside too. Along with a healthy eating and portion control u will see results. I walked over 50 miles last week so I do walk a lot every day especially in the summer
Mina Kalsi thanks so much for the advice❤️ I’ve been walking/dancing daily and eating normal portions of healthy homemade food but for only week so far. I’ve been too impatient for results, which is unreasonable, so you’re motivating me to keep going ✊🏽 Just to know if I’m doing this right, what was the first month like for you? Did you see any physical changes, or even a slight difference?
amrin Honestly it was my clothes they looked different on me and people started telling me I was losing weight. You need to be patient you just need to keep going for your goal. It became more for me on what my body could do then what it look like… So I just kept pushing my goal of doing more steps and walking more miles and everything else just fell into place
the main thing for healthy diet is balanced diet that fits your daily calorie intake. I used meal plan from nextleveldietnet and results are amazing. Im feeling more healthier and stronger, also get six pack
Being an endo-mesomorph is a life sentence for me. Added by these hormones. Even if I worked hard, my hormones will decide if I will lose weight or not. The downside also is I have to maintain this shape and to not over-eat and be lazy. Surely it will backfire on me. Still learning how to love this shape and the physiology of the body.
Have u accepted lord Jesus as your saviour if not do it right now time is running out for him to come soon to save his ppl..just believe in him, invite to ur heart n repent thats all
Hey, that's literally me. No matter what I do I'll gravitate towards 20% something BF. Because my body wants to stay at that range. I hate it when people think it's as easy as eating less. Sure, it might work short-term and I've been to 15%, 12% BF, but I bounced back the moment I started eating normally. I suppose the only cure is putting on more muscle mass, as I see many examples of people having terrible diets with junk food and shit and they're lean, even though they're messo-endo combo, but they've got a ton of muscle mass.
as a mesomorph this is so true! Before quarantine I was doing great, now ive gained a bit of weight and I see a little less of my muscle outline, but recently Im getting back into my old routine and my muscles are already showing again!
Endo-Meso here (skinny fat)🤦🏾♀️. I build muscle in my legs quickly but losing my tummy and building my glutes feels impossible sometimes..but I'm gonna keep pushing until I reach my goals.
Thank you for telling me my body type because I was confused, I’m naturally thin my hips are also suites my body type but my chest and tummy have little extra weight, that wight is not that extra because it suites my body but still that lower middle section fat I have them I just can’t burn them no matter what!!!! Haha
Same here, a hybrid. I noticed the belly goes down by not eating carbs and sugar.... but damn the thighs are hard to reduce 😭 I'm on low carb with fat intake like a relaxed keto
I found this video while searching for metabolic workouts for women over 50. Albeit it’s three years old. Eating and exercising for your specific somatotype is definitely the way to go. Basically she has “told the truth and shamed the devil”….stop spinning those wheels. I’ve been there. This isn’t anything new to me and I’m glad she has addressed this. I’ve often wondered if many PT’s assess their clients in this fashion before they actually start working with them. I’ve seen many an article in muscle magazines (c., 1980’s etc). My curiosity led me to Google how to find out your what your dominant somatotype is. This led me to one free quiz. In fact, I found three of them. Results - two of them said I was straight up Endomorph. One said I was a combo of Endomorph-Mesomorph. I’ve had a hint of success following an Endomorph plan of eating and metabolic workouts. I’m well over 50 so I’m also thinking hormones are a factor too or could be. Staying consistent is definitely at the top of the list regardless of which “umbrella” you fall under. As far as Endomorph’s are concerned and foods that are better suited, she’s accurate about the sugars and fats. Endomorphs are considered “the fat retainers.” Sugars and fats - all forms of them have to be watched with a vengeance. Low glycemic carbs are a much better option. “Cheat treats” (not just sweets either) for me have to be strategically planned and not too often. Besides that, gluten I avoid. Grains I avoid too. The only exception is popcorn 🍿 at the movies 🎥 or I make it myself. I’ll keep the turkey, fish, some chicken, eggs, green veggies, and small amounts of low glycemic fruits. Those foods are very agreeable with me. As mentioned before, metabolic workouts - tabata style and circuits are very effective…been there and the results are great. ☺️👍🏽 just staying consistent has been an issue.
Love that you're honest about the being consistent issues. Maintaining consistency is always the big obstacle, a major big problem in my exercising efforts! 😤😩😩 I always end up working out for 1 day then stopping for like 5 days..or manage to work out consecutively for 2-3 days straight then stopping and then only work out once for the week afterr!! I end up stopping after my rest day 😖😞
I'm an endomorph. Even though I'm afraid of my wide hips, I have (maybe) nice waist because a lot of people who have lower weight don't have small waist like me 👍 So Endomorph, be yourself & confident because you're closer to hourglass body 🧡 Keep going
Hey , dont mix up body types and body shapes - I am an hourglass but still ecto-meso (aka long defined muscles with very little fat) . Im not saying you shouldnt love yourself, but these body shapes and body types are just different things that dont really depend on each other
I’m ectomorph! Its not easy to get info online for my body type cuz many are about losing weight...I hear people are jealous about this body type but I struggle too cuz I easily lose weight when I’m stressed and have no energy to do a simple task. And so hard to gain my weight back. I’m glad to find your video and finally get the knowledge of how to improve my body 😭❣️
It’s actually not because somatotypes aren’t actually backed up by science. Watch this video to see what I mean m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T_6Zy2i9Xyo.html

I used to be clinically obese. When I was, I thought I was an endomorph. Then I started to lose weight and realized I was just an overweight mesomorph.
I'm an Endomorph and am just trying to lose the weight. I've always been an emotional eater. But now that food isn't that interesting to me anymore, I'm just trying to get to a healthy weight. I'm 250-ish and I just want to be back in the 180 realm. The ultimate goal is 160.

This was soooo helpful! I am an Endomorph and although I don't eat a lot of calories in the day, I don't eat the right things within the right window. I've already implemented exercise and now I will try this. Thank you!
I'm a endomorphs. I've always been bigger however with really bad arthritis in my knees and been struggling with them since I was 13 years old. (I'm now 23) I find physical exercise so hard. It did musical theatre for 5 years and come the end of my final year I was crying in every dance session. Since then I've gained even more weight. However 3 weeks ago I've decided to do something about it. I'm calorie counting my food every day. And I'm also doing some form of exercise. Walking I find is great for me as it's very kind to my knees. I'm now going into my 3rd week. Slow and steady, with determination. This video has really helped me!! Thank you xx
I would love to however I love my partner and his parents. I have no where to store a bike or an exercise bike but when the gym opens I will be sure to try this out!x
Endo-Meso: I used to be thin and lanky but in my early 20s I went on medication that slowed my metabolism and started eating unhealthily; I put on over 20kgs. I changed my diet several years later and lost over 10 kgs (starting weight was 50 - 55kgs, height just over 5'7" so I was underweight on the BMI scale before gaining the weight). So I guess now I'm an endo-meso because im skinny fat... I'm thin but flabby with no tone or definition that I used to have. I'm going to start exercising (mix between pilates, resistance and light weights) to help build mobility and tone up.
@Connie H I only assumed I was an Endo-Meso because she said there are people that are naturally thin but put on weight due to lack of exercise and poor diet (which were also contributing factors after starting medication) but what you've said makes more sense; While I'm taller than the average woman I have small bone structure; even my wrists are really tiny. As for my limbs, I do have very long legs and my arms are long but proportionate. My shoulders are very narrow and feminine and the widest point of my body is my hips. When I gained weight I put it on around this area, as well as my thighs and tummy while my arms and lower legs stayed relatively thin. I did lose my thigh gap which made walking very uncomfortable, especially in Summer due to chaffing. But now I've lost the weight I still have no definition or tone... I'd like to gain that back. Sadly the first place that I lost weight was my breasts and bum but I never had a large derriere; just a perky one. But now my breasts are as small as they were when I was a teenager. My hair is healthy but my skin is drier than it ever used to be... interesting that different body types using this methodology can have differing skin and hair issues but I put my dry skin down to dehydration (again caused by my medication) and just not drinking enough fluid, as well as not enough vitamin intake from fruit and vege. So you're probably right about me having an Ectomorph body type.
@Connie H Thank you so much for the tips and advice! Very informative. I'll definitely research those supplements and see what I can change about my diet. And it's so sweet of you to do that for your ex partner. I only hope my next partner is as supportive, and helps me grow as a person. Unfortionately, I've had toxic relationships in the past where instead of lifting me up, they've held me back. As for kibbe, I've heard of it but the only informational videos I've come across online are by people trying to sell their services, so it hasn't been too helpful. Are there any websites or even books you could recommend? Thank you, I know I shouldn't live in the past and instead focus on what I do have, and getting myself strong and healthy, inside and out, but it can be hard to keep things in a positive prospective. It just goes to show that no matter your body type, we all have issues but we need to learn to embrace them because being unique is what makes us interesting and beautiful individuals. Sometimes we want what we can't have... at one point I wouldve loved to be shorter and softer in the face as men often find gamine women cuter... as well as me not feeling confident in high heels around men as i didn't want to tower over them. I'm almost 5'8" by the way so in heels I'm often the same height as guys I've dated, if not taller; I've learnt to date taller men haha but even if they are my height doesn't mean the cards are off the table, it just means I won't wear heels around them! Love the part about the thigh chub rub too haha
I was always a mesomorph but now that I'm going into menopause, I've become an endomorph. What worked for me 2 years ago is no longer working. Endomorph style training and diet is what other experts seem to recommend for a woman going into menopause so I'm going to follow your advice and make those changes.
Finally a video that explains everything in the simplest way. I'm an ectomorph and I'm into bodybuilding. I need to increase mass to get muscles but it's hard for me to eat but I'm trying to eat properly.
It's not about not eating them though, you just have to be able to balance the amount of carbs you eat and how much you burn for how much fat you want on you.
yep, im not overweight or anything but I've been fat since before i was even 10 years old, but i was a normal kid, not extremely skinny but i wasn't fat at all. I gained weight at maybe 8 or 9 years old and I'm now 15, trying to lose it
@Wiinter Plays yeah, im gonna start walking to college, when i start in september (it's a 30 min walk). In England we start college at 16 (if u were wondering haha)
As a mesomorph, this explains why I have been gaining body fat and losing muscle mass despite working out so hard. I have not been adjusting my diet have been doing too much of strength and hypertrophy training 6:50 when I should have been changing up my exercises (as recommended in the video)😅😂 this was a very informative. Glad this was recommended to me. Thank you! 🙏
Wow this is the most comprehensive informative video about my body type, work out and diet! I am thrilled to start my weight loss journey as an endomorph.
This is SO INFORMATIVE!! From watching this video alone I now understand that my body type is a mix of two types rather than one alone, and so is my husband. This is so cool.
I am a meso/ectomorph but ever since I hit puberty I started over-eating and gained soem weight, since November I've lost 2kg and looking much better however I am still only halfway through my weight loss journey. I've been doing 15 min cardio workouts at least 3 times a week and doing between 7000-15000 steps per day. I've also reducen my calorie intake by 500kcal (sometimes eatling less than that, and sometimes eating more- depending on the day/occasion). I try to remain hopeful and confident with my body, but as human as we all are, social media and those around us can quite easliy impact our thoughts. My tip for us all is that it's ok to have a cheat day once in a while, but to stay comitted and always know we will reach our goal in the end.
Endomorph here: I've always been active most of my life, only had a few periods of doing next to nothing. As such, i've always had that belly fat and undefinable abs. I've tried lots of different diets, from vegan, OMAD, Intermittent fasting etc etc... about... 8 months ago, i started on the keto diet (without knowing it's benefits for my morph) and started to feel better than ever. Strength, stamina, hell.. even flexibility started to become easier. I slept better, and had more energy. I've done parkour for about 10-11 years, and done gymnastics for the past... 2 years. I am an instructor, and have a lot of teams. Despite being active and whatnot, i still didn't get a defined body. That was until i started on Keto. slowly, but surely, i started to see abs for the first time in my life (27 now btw) and was like... wtf... At the beginning of the corona, i became a slob, and lost my abs :( i gained 7-8kg easily within... 5-6 weeks. ugh... so, i restarted my "toughest" training regime ever. 15-16km walks a day (those that i counted anyway) 30 muscle-ups within 30min, with light stretching while resting between sets. 10 min Chloe ting ab workout (that actually hurt) 50 slow push-ups (each push up is about 5sec) ^ every day within the same time period of gaining weight, 5-6 weeks, i lost it again, and started to see my abs again. over time, i intensified the workouts. Now i do morning stretches where i feel like i need it biking instead of walking (1-2 hours depending on weather) 40 muscle-ups within 40min, 10 min Chloe ting lower ab workout combined 100sec of handstand *rest throughout the day* 10min Chloe ting workout 50 push ups. evening stretching All of this i try to do in low intensity. Not that AMRAP or HIIT where quality of exercise is quickly reduced to atoms. and thanks to Keto, i look and feel better.
@@beverlymiranda3044 it's corona and summer time :) i have plenty in my bank account to no even bother to see how much i have until i start teaching again. without biking and walking, the combined exercise is... 1h and 10-15min.

@@thegooddoctor2428 yes. I look like I have a bloated stomach. I slowly get toned if I do intense workout and take care of my diet. But only a few days pass by and I am back to a freaking piñata for a lower belly. 😭 No fair. I cheer on you all for reaching your goals.
I really cannot figure out what I am... Until I was about 23 I was really skinny while I ate shitty food and never exercised so maybe an ectomorph? Then I started gaining weight (gained 10kg ) and now at 26 have belly fat and wide hips so closer to endomorph? Can it change with age? WHAT AM I???
Interesting and well-organized video. I've worked with a dietitian, physical therapist, functional medicine physician, and (briefly) a personal trainer before I joined the military about 30 years ago. I was, and had always been, an ectomorph type like my father. Very active in sports and such as a kid and throughout school/college. I was injured while in the military and permanently limited in my physical activities in many ways as a result. Now in my late 40s, a mother, and experiencing perimenopause, I continue to walk daily (I often do a 5K walk of varying speeds, sometimes wearing a light weighted vest), a yoga/calisthenics routine to maintain my mobility, and regular farm chores - yet I still find that presently I fit more into the endomorph type, appearance-wise. My genetic testing shows dietary needs similar to the profile provided here for endomorphs. I think eating is my primary issue. I don't do enough of it. I don't like to cook, eating takes time I would prefer to spend doing other things, and I have so many food sensitivities and allergies that eating can be a literal pain or at a minimum, very complicated. I've been trying to figure out what my base body type was and the way to achieve it. I have mild osteopenia, am close to being "overweight" for my height/build - but not there yet. This video made me realize that the advice my healthcare team has been giving me has been based on my current appearance, NOT on my actual "teenage" (and lifelong in general) body type. I'm going to switch some things around and see if modifying my physical activity and dietary patterns to align with my genetic body type (ectomorph) works better for me, since it seems almost exactly opposite of what has been recommended to me for years now. Multiple surgeries, illnesses, and so on hampered my fitness, but now the lightbulb has gone on over my head and I feel like this might be the start of a better, more effective health and fitness strategy for myself overall. Treat my genetic self first, not the shape I see in the mirror right now. My upper body very definitely still shows my ectomorph physiology! 😊 Thank you for this excellent video. Really helped tie a lot of the pieces together for me and given me fresh inspiration and motivation. I want to look and feel awesome when I walk the stage in the next year or so to receive my PhD! With this guidance, I believe I can make that happen! 💪🏻💖
