Aside from that though, hope you all dug this, such a fun book. I gave it an 8.5/10, but would like to retroactively bump this up into the 9s.
Love that God's finisher is pretty much a twist on Kenny Omega's One Winged Angel. The most protected finisher in wrestling, that only two people have kicked out of.
I did not expect this book to be this good! Ofc the art work is awesome but it did not cross my mind that it also has this much heart in it. Thanks Dan, looking forward to Fables!
As a wrestling fan since childhood, this was wonderful. My jaw kept dropping at the twists in the story, they would all be perfect actual wrestling plot lines 😂
Wrestling & Comics are like chocolate and peanut butter baby... This shit is honestly so great especially since the plot twists (or "swerves" as they call them in wrestling) like the Mother's death and Reveal of the Father as CobraSun are SO WRESTLING.
This one was awesome. I loved wrestling when I was a kid. I had no idea it was fake, lol. But it's still pretty impressive, 260 plus pound dudes doing crazy flips and being so athletic..anyways thanks, Danny. I always look forward to watching these on Sunday.
Yeah the premise of God and monster from across the cosmos solve their dispute through pro wrestling?! is very much Ultimate muscle. Plus God look exactly like Silverman from Kinnikuman ( minus the headfin ofcourse).
I have loved everything Daniel Warren Johnson has done so far. This was my pick of the year. The colorist did amazing job as well. Can't wait to see what he does for 2023

Just now catching up after you put out the last Sandman entry but this was pretty good and fun watch. I think it could play on on the big screen or Netflix if they cast it right. Good job man. Now I'm diving into Agent Fear and Fabled next!!!

Dont apologize for mistakes unless its a huuuge 1 concerning the story which changes something important - definitely not pronunciations - its little mistakes like that which makes your channel FUN! An e reader wont laugh along while saying Barr for example or give a lil commentary using fun to describe things - dude when u said Orange Bang i was cracking up and whether it was a mistake or purposeful doesn't matter - funny all the same. We know that you can read and write plus other stuff probably. I like when a dj accidentally jumps the arm during a play- more for how he reacts will he apologize and be embarrassed or own it and form a witty comeback? Im not at all enthused about listening to comic stories unless a really great motion comic but u manage to keep things interesting and personable - well worth the watch, the ad and I can see how some ppl become patreons especially when looking to have a choice story narrated- good niche and hope you find ways to continue success! Biggemups!!
As a wrestling fan this was great , loving stuff like God just no selling their finisher. Also not sure if Danny is a wrestling fan but he done a excellent job with the moves and terms.
I'm a wrestling fan. I watched more as a kid, although still today I drift in and out, sometimes don't watch for months, but then I'll check out one of the main events (Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble) and get sucked back in for a few months.

i think their 1st match was with "Or-rang-ga-bang" not "Orange-Bang" i could be wrong and i also think its " Lu-cha bots" ( like " Lucha Libra"). but this comic was very interesting. 7.5/10
hey! just seeing this now. I wanted to thanyou for the content and give you a little insight. Lucha-Bots are pronounced with a strong "ch", like that cartoon, "Mucha Lucha". It would sound like the "ch" in the word "chance" of "Chance". "Lucha" is a spanish word for fight and thats how we call Wrestling in México. Also, I loved this book.

Ummm honestly it was a decent story. Quick and to the point volume. Fighting God was kinda dumb. And it could have been better, like stay in heaven and see your mom anytime you want. But you have to fight each year to see her. The dad surprise was pretty Kool.

I think your pronouncing the orangutan tag team name wrong. It's not "Orange-bang", it's "Oranga-bang". It's a play on the word orangutan, not the color of their fur. Sorry to nitpick, but it's driving me crazy.
