Thank you for sharing different perspectives per person’s diagnosis. I was diagnosed last week. I can so greatly relate to many topics you all discussed.
Absolutely LOVE these videos! Such a good way to show the variety in our disease and how it effects those who suffer from it. I loved the question about getting new opportunities with this disease, it has been something that has blown my mind. Connecting to the people in this video from across the world, for example. MS has forced growth out of us and has given us a sense of purpose to overcome something that pulls us down each day. “A beautiful silver lining”. It does absolutely suck sometimes though hahah
I have to agree with getting a second opinion when it comes to any illness. Drs aren’t always right. We have a group that meets when first diagnosed but it was just one time. I do have friends who have MS so she shares tips with me.
I asked a consultant questions about one of the DMTs which isn't suitable if you want to get pregnant. I have no intention to get pregnant in the short term future but I still didn't feel comfortable with that particular DMT when there were other options available. In response to my question about this drug, he said "but you're not married are you?" I was not impressed!
