Hey everyone! This episode got really deep in the end, so I'm really curious what you think about it. Let me know in the comments below! Can you relate?
I would say that in Lebanon, specially Beirut in the night clubs or gemaize the things you see are a bunch of nonsense, I worked as a bouncer. And I can tell you that I'm never going back to that street in my life after 8pm, I straight up cannot believe how disgusting it was. It was worse then the biggest orgyyouhaveeverseenontheinternet. I never understood what was the "fun" part of going to such things and now I'm disgusted by them😂 Nothing beats having a drink at home for me.
@@antoniohagopian213 7ach ta3melle.. what have you seen buddy? We live in that area daily and listening to you feels like it's the devil's den there.. It's nothing like that
I love how honest they are, no sugar coating, just hard facts and the truth... Respect for being so open and as a member of another culture trying to learn more about yours this is very valuable so thank you :)
I think this is one of the best discussions I’ve seen here! What’s interesting is, as an American woman I can relate to a lot of the issues surrounding sex because I also grew up in a conservative area (although from Christian influence). Very similar kinds of shame, trauma, and sexism unfortunately, and it can be so confusing to navigate as a kid. Of course, there’s a lot of differences too but overall I could definitely relate to the people here. I hope we can all start supporting healthier attitudes for sex and love, it’ll make our future and our future generations experiences such a better one❤
its not depressing for me its refreshing. So many people in the west are disgusting having sex with so many people like dogs. With Muslims we still value chastity
yeah, better that way than destroy the marriage, traumathize the kids and strip the man off of the house and all his wealth so that wife can be a sl*t again.
Brilliant video👏 It turned to be way more deeper and valuable than a hypothetical easy-going / entertaining video about this subject we'd expected. And that's why I like it soo much!
The Lebanese girl hasn't been to Lebanon in a long time and its obvious ... The tinted car windows are not for intimacy, they're for shady dealings ...

As a Liberian living in the United States, both Liberian and American society we do show our affection for our partner in public, and when it comes to relationships we can date who ever we choose to be with regardless of the other person background and religion. So at the end of the day you have to live YOUR LIFE how you want to live YOUR LIFE.
Lebanon doesn't have "islamic laws" There isn't a law that prohibits you from doing anything mentioned in this video. Same for other countries, your argument is invalid and you should learn more. For example we have a Christian president, did you know that? Of course you didn't. Just because we don't want homofembois in our countries doesn't mean we are under slavery
Lol we like it like this. Where integrity and self respect still stands. Where the need for alcohol and drugs to stay happy is not a thing. Western people are sad, depressed. They live to pleasure themselves only. With no real life goals. Just work, and have fun in the weekends. What a sad reality. We muslims believe this earth and life is just a test from God.
@@Ahmed-pf3lg No we don't. Speak for yourself you neanderthal. Islamic laws regarding gender and sexuality are truly f*cked up and disgusting and WE despise it. If you can refer to yourself as WE then I can too.
Arab dating cultures are quite similar to Indian dating cultures. Very conservative and unfortunately lots of sexually frustrated people living an unhealthy and unhappy lifestyle. Like in Egypt, you get to see a lot of sexual harassment cases in India. I hope India can change for the better in future.
There is a similarity, but in Hindu and Buddhist parts at least it is slowly getting more open minded. I know lots of love marriages, and see couples dating almost every day, yes they may do it not openly but they do it. Many have relations before marriage but not sexually. In arranged marriage dating is knowadays allowed after engagement is settled. Before they would just meet at their actual marriage. I guess it also depends on family and location in India. Muslim community i guess is definitely more conservative.
can totally relate to the struggle Arabs face regarding dating and sex, as chinese middle and high schools prohibit dating. i think many Westerners and Latinos have not realized how lucky they are growing up in a society where individual freedom is respected. Let's face it. Some cultures are just more evil and suppresive than others.
Absolutely and Westerners have no idea. We cannot simply do what we want in such a society. Society will ostracize us then, from our family to friends. Here even education does not mean open mindedness.
Yeah, these videos really show me my western privileges. I'm rooting for everyone under oppression that will be are strong and persistent forces to free them or they can move to a place where it is more open minded.
Yeah it's actually weird as Latinos we don t know that even for developing countries we are actually quite free, was shocked when I went to Shanghai and me and my friend danced a bit close in the club and we were getting stared at
In the Viking culture in Scandinavia, if you weren't sexually pleased with your husband you could legaly divorce him. This was 3.000 years ago. There were also a suuuper strict code of ethics that a man could NEVER hurt a woman physically. It's sad to hear about the tyranny going on in the Arabic countries.
In islam if you are not sexually pleased that is ground for divorce as well. But in islam even if there's no fault in marriage, you can still get divorced if you are not happy its not 7aram
Your comment is ridiculous. I dont know which century you’re living in but women are allowed to divorce in the arab world as well. Granted it’s not favorable to ask for divorce without trying to work on things first, as I imagine would be the norm anywhere as marriage is not a fling, but there is no rule against it.
That was a funny video, and yes almost everything is relatable, but I would say that the younger generation are becoming more free when it comes to dating, having sex, and living together outside of marriage (abroad), and dating foreigners, especially for guys. Greetings from Jordan!
Definitely not something that anyone should be proud of, very sad seeing how haram is being normalized. Incredible how most have become so weak they are taking the standard of the west over the true and righteous path of the Quran and sunnah, all this is a sign of the end of times ofc
I'm Lebanese. I really like and respect how the Palestinians living in Western countries stick to their beliefs and traditions. it shows that they are really dedicated to what they believe no matter how their environment appealing is 👏
@@Oasis221 1. Islam is important to him, which means his belief in God, especially if he practices. So he respects his boundaries. Don't expect him to do sex before marriage for instance, even if your relationship with him becomes strong. Maybe he won't even kiss. 2. He respects his mom and dad very well. 3. Palestine is a red line. No one should talk bad about it. If it happens just watch 4. Additionally he is a real man. If he loves you, he wouldn't bother to put himself in fire to save you All of what I said above depends on the environment he lived in. Palestinian environment? Then what I said is most likely correct.
This is the ugliest comments section I’ve seen. This always happens when something is posted about arabs. So sad to see. Wishing everyone love and positivity.. even those who came here to spew hate.
This is amazing and actually very well representing. Thanks! Looking at these persons I thought they're going to present a very liberal and unrealistic image of the Middle East but they did great.
Only for Tunisia. Egypt, an AFROASIATIC country ,always have been part of the Middle East. the Term "Middle East" covers a GEOPOLITICAL region the Arabian Peninsula, the Levant, Turkey, Egypt, Iran and Iraq.
He is Syrian living in Saudi. In Syria, most of the people are white. Also Syria was a main part in the Byzantine empire so your reference is valid except for the Viking part.
There’s not really dating in Saudi culture so the wealthier people send their sons to Europe to get “educated”. Then the son disappoints his mom by marrying an American. 🤣🇺🇸🇸🇦. 🤷🏻♀️
I watched this video, because as a non-Arab woman, it made me uncomfortable how my Moroccan date just kissed me in public, it would be too much even here in Canada, and what is more, I knew about this tradition to not show PDA in Arabic and Middle-Eastern cultures, so it hit me unexpected and pretty much shocked me. As a European, I was much shier than him. So when they are abroad they just do the opposite, or the rule does not apply to foreign girls?
I wonder how would be if these fives people , especially the ladies , walking around in their countries wearing such outfits like these , the lady from Lebanon 🇱🇧 , for exemple , is wearing a outfit common for me , therefore i used to see 🤔
Lebanon and Tunisia it’s a bit “normal” to dress like that. Egypt you’d probably get stares and negative comments. Palestine, probably more stares and more negative comments. Saudi? Not even allowed lol.
@@Ahmed-pf3lg how do the Palestinians still care about what you wear when they have to worry about the IDF (more like IOF) killing you or your children?
@@Ahmed-pf3lg I guess such a lady would be put in jail. Very difficult though, to wear those long-sleeved maxi dresses, as those areas are so hot and you are supposed to even wear a veil on your head .... Do they take a shower? Do they use deodorant? You don't want to see the things I have seen in the pubs of Beirut when I worked as a bouncer. I'm still disgusted of drunk women to this day. As for the clothes, she is still wearing *a lot* compared to what you can see on various occasions. Women go to the beach more then men here, and they wear strings and bikinis. In the Arab culture sex is seen as for married couples. Tribal customs though put emphasis on women virginity as a woman who had sex before marriage is seen as bringing shame to her and her family. As Arab societies have modernized and are increasingly less tribal, this mentality is slowly changing. With a country like a Lebanon now having a significant amount of their society secretly accepting women having sex outside of marriage. But overall the taboo is still there, even in liberal Arab countries. Religious Arabs are more likely to frown on men who have sex while less religious will give him a pass but still shame the woman.
fyi Lebanon is not a single entity at all, and you can find everything there.. But overall, it is much more liberal than how this Lebanese lady described it. I would assume a large part of us, like me, would find these questions absurd, and would have never heard of these concepts in their region (ie: only happens in other parts of the Middle East or some disconnected parts of the country, but of course another part might be as conservative or even more than what she described..
@@sarahhaaniaxoxo He said that he was born there so he does know Saudi more than Syria. This means he is immigrant and not a refugee. There is no Syrian Refugees in Saudi btw. Also, He speaks from Saudi Perspective and not Syrian one. He is handsome anyway.
Why do you say they are arab???? They speak arabic... but they aren't arabs. the only arabs are in the arabian countries. you think a few thousand troops and warloards can turn millions of people who already lived their arab??? they are different peoples. Punic, egyptian, berber, etc. they SPEAK arabic.
@@marwaqoura7804 of course that's a Western misconception. However, the video's host said it was about the Middle East as opposed to the written title including only Arabs. Fun fact, there are ethnic Arab minorities in both Iran and Turkey.
Sex before marriage is forbidden in Christianity but people still do it , same way In Islam dating is forbidden but many Arabs and non Arab Muslims do it
Yes it’s haram, but it’s still done. Many things are haram and people do it. For starters lying is haram, yet many people lie.. I mean I can go on and on.
@@mohamedahmedyassinhussein6856 I guess you have to be awfully discreet otherwise ... WW3. I agree you have to be respectful to your parents and your family, but then how are you going to live with someone you don't even know? Having babies is not the answer to everything, several women don't even like to raise children .... It's been like that for centuries when women were only part of the cattle, someone you acquired and used as a housewife, maid and to procreate babies. She was not allowed to study or have a job. Thanks God that is changing, some women don't want to have children of their own, some women love their job and are too tired to become a housewife and a mother in their free time,, some women don't even like men or prefer to be unmarried women, selfish yeah but still in peace with themselves ...
@@amiquigonzales7917 islamically you can get to know someone before you live with them and have babies, you can get to know Someone while chaperoned, and when you do the kiet el kitab you can be have solo dates and get to know more before moving in together. And yes many women are educated and can work if they want to but many choose to have their husbands provide for them
i thought so too. i remember that egyptian girl with curly hair said in one video that there is no dating scene in egypt and i guess the entire arab world and men and women are really not allowed to interract with each other. so guys don't really know any women because they are not allowed to meet women. i think its a tricky situation there
What is more sad is people from specifoc religion who are living in western societies they still want to bring this stone age sharia things here as well 😂😂😭😭😭
I think the sample is quite biased, likely they're living outside of there country and are influnced. Even though i might agree qirh some, but i still those opinions are the minority and doesnt constitue the majority from each country.
dayum what did she say wrong. i had the same impresion of lebanon as the palestinian guy said. i heard beirut is the most lit city in middle east for parties and attractive women. lebanon i thought is relaxed chill country with open mindedness and men and women have more freedoms. guess i had the wrong impression
@@openbob6656 So what you are saying is that your impression of Lebanon is entirely based on Beirut. There is more to that country than just that one city. It's like developing a point of view on the US just based on what you heard about New York City or Los Angeles. There are a lot of places that are way different than those ones.
@@antoniohagopian213 Lebanese are steadfast supporters of the leader of our Ummah rahbare moazzam Ayatollah Sayid Ali Khamenei and would follow his guidance as governed in the Islamic Republic. Not once she mentioned her support for resistance or rahbar
Sexual oppression is not good, but too much sexual liberation is also not good. We need a balance in between. I think Indian and Turkish society are a balanced society in that regard.
EGYPT is not Arab, and EGYPTIANS are not Arabs, stop counting us with Arab, it's just a political naming used to promote an idea back in the 50s, if you want to link our neighbors and us, use the middle east naming or North African countries
My message to all the arrogant liberal comments: As a conservative and practicing muslim Spanish - Moroccan Who was born in Spain and is so proud of her religion I know that so many westerners are just so depressed, stressed and have mental problems because of your lifestyle. I know many teenagers Who got pregnant and Who got very Evil diseases such as AIDS because of dating. Besides this, when there are relationships outside marriage there isn't honor for both the girl and the boy. When a couple is married, they have honor, security and rights as well as responsabilities that help have a stable family and society. And if we stop for once this stupid tradition of dating I am sure we will have much more stable families and less pregnant teens and we'll have less cases of people infected of diseases such as AIDS. And numerous studies have shown that dating causes anxiety, stress, depression and social and physical health problems. And dating has also contributed to the low birth rate in western countries, which is one of the things they are most concerned about. And actually it is us , the Muslims that are lucky for having such a beautiful religion that doesn't allow us to harm ourselves. Alcohol, dating, smoking, gambling, interest, p*rnography, nudity, music... are some of the main evils of society that Alhamdulillah Islam has saved me from. I am so grateful i was born muslim and have been saved from these evil things that are not what really brings happiness. Islam freed me from these harms and made me care only about pleasing Allah and obeying my creator which truly brings happiness, peace and joy. I want to express my sorrow for you, westerners because I feel really sorry for you as you harm yourselves everyday by consuming alcohol, gambling, dating... And I am very proud and happy to say i never dated anyone and I never drank alcohol and i never smoked. Islam is the reason I am free. Islam is the reason I have peace, happiness and joy. You, the westerners are nobody to tell who is opressed and who is free, as you are just some depressed and arrogant guys. Freedom isn't dating. Freedom is giving honor and rights to both the girl, the boy (and if there is any son/daughter) and this can only get achieved if the couple is married. Alhamdulillah for the blessing of Islam.
Music is not evil and it's a myth that muslims don't have mental health problems it's just muslims don't talk about mental health much as much as western counterparts
Yup facts that marriage has gone down the rails cos men and women have gone through this route of individual and independence and take me as I am and no accountability has stored and no standards or stability around. So I just think that we should just for once consider marriage when we are ready and be open to it rather than throwing it out all for casual hookups and relationships, which is just pure delusion. But, another reason is that I know cost of living is so high, laws are become feminist centric so in that way men are too scared to approach women and ask her out and actually get to know her, and see if she’s worth it for the long run.
