I have seen where Walmart is tracking the reduction in snack and junk food consumption and have been able to correlate it with GLP-1 use (since they also have pharmacies). Also, clothing manufacturers have noted a decrease in average sizes they sell… especially in NY and California. PepsiCo (and others) better get their heads out of the sand! Great news coverage, guys. Pepsi is diversified. They also sell protein shakes (Muscle Milk), bottled water and sugar free drinks. They may lose sales of junk food but gain it in healthier products.
PepsiCo certainly owns a wide variety of food and beverage brands - but that is where they are focused. Their diversification stays almost exclusively in food and beverage and their healthy or better for you brands account for a small portion. The best estimates are that glp-1 users reduce calorie consumption by 1000 per day which will impact the entire industry. Muscle milk and sabra hummus will not be enough for PepsiCo to survive. Odds are they will adapt and innovate - if not the next company will Their annual report even includes a line about weight loss drugs.

I’ve used those implants of birth control that are placed on the arm. It was for three years, it’s called Nexplanon. Used it for 6 years, but it is very painful whenever they pull it out because it gets embedded in the tissue 😅

I'm not taking it for a trend. I plan to use it fairly long-term for maintenance when I do get to maintenance. If not Tirzepatide then some other medicine like maybe Cagrilintide or something like that or maybe get an RX for Tesofensine or...something. I think I plan to use something life-long to help with maintenance. Even now I encounter a lot of people (not just docs) who have no clue about compounded Tirzepatide (and that it's like 1/3 to 1/4 the cost of branded (and for most equally effective)). edit: implant GLP-1 sounds interesting.
I think people will still drink sodas, but the other snacky type foods will definitely go down, but maybe only temporarily, I think as these drugs become cheaper years down the rd then that’s when they will take a bigger hit for sure
