Hey Will, I do indeed see myself as disabled, more so because of the discrimination I face when it comes to opportunities / people’s assumptions about me rather than because I find it hard to do things. And for this reason I don’t claim disability benefits for instance, because I don’t believe my disability stops me from doing that much, in comparison to others. I hope I am making sense? When it comes to my experiences in the wider world I’ve had a few mean and just frankly odd things said to me in public that has made me angry, unfomfortable and upset, but this doesn’t happen often and the good out weighs the bad. -G,x

@@mandevillesisters Hey, yeah that makes a lot of sense. I'm asking because I'm writing an article about all of this for work. I suppose I'm sort of trying to work out whether the majority of society follow the medical or the social model of disability. I really respect your stance on claiming PIP btw. I think it's cool because I guess it leaves more in the pot for others, not that it should work like that of course.... It's interesting because for me, I guess I get a lot of abuse, you know the deal, been beaten up, spat at in the street, called all the names. So it has sort of shaped my life a fair bit, because I know the moment I walk out the house I'm opening myself up to that and that gets dull and grating, you know? It's weird because we're all one huge hermoginised group but every disability is so different that it seems really odd to do that. I mean I have no idea what it's like to live with one hand and you don't know what it's like to Hydrocephalus and CP, but we do both know what i's llike to deal with the prejudices. Sorry I'm rambling... Hope I'm making sense. I'd love to talk to you about all this properly at some point if thats possible?

Yes we are hoping to but are attempting to move towards that slowly so it’s not overwhelming, we also didn’t really manage to grow much when me moved in as we moved in after the main sowing time in summer so next year will be better for practicing. Thankyou for enjoying my content ☺️ -G,x
