There are four conditions which you can apply to prove the existence of god. 1. Everything (say for example, the universe) came from nothing. This cannot be possible practically, because for something to be created there should be something initially. 2. The universe created itself. For the universe to create itself, the universe must be pre existing before that. It leads to a paradox. So it's not possible. 3. Universe was created by something created. If is the universe was created by something which is 'created', this 'created' must be created by something, then this something must be created by another 'something'. It leads to infinite chain of never ending creators and creations. It's not possible. 4. Universe is created by something which is 'uncreated'. Here, we say that the universe was created by something which is uncreated. You cannot ask who created that creator because the creator is 'uncreated'(never be created). This uncreator is what I believe to be God. When we logically analyse all four statements, only the last statement is logically correct. So we can conclude from that there is God who is uncreated, eternal (always existing), is not bound by space and time.
Hi Brother, this question is beyond our comprehension because our capacity of thinking is always limited to what we see/hear/feel(smell, taste & touch), whereas God is a supreme power(indicated by Einstein as time being 4th dimension, meaning this universe was not existing before and was created and will end at some point). Interestingly, there is a verse in Quran(6:103) which says "No power of vision can encompass Him, whereas He encompasses all vision; He is above all comprehension, yet is all-aware". There are many signs in Quran speaking about reason for creation of this universe, human beings, etc., along with a challenge that "Do they not then consider the Quran carefully? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much contradictions(4:82)"
