Yes exactly because men forget how woman are created , they want to talk about how Allah created them to desire more than one woman , yet forget that a woman is emotional and sharing the husband is never easy even if she agrees . Then some men actually deal with these emotions by punishing the wives by giving her time to the other wife out of spite . Also catering financially to one and barely doing the basics for the others , treating a virgin wife better than a divorcee and justifying this treatment . If men can understand our fears came from watching their mistakes they cannot possibly be of sound mind if they think there is no justification for woman refusing to allow this
I don't understand this obsession with having multiple wives. No Muslim can deny that it is halal but that every practicing brother wants to have multiple wives is not true. Alhumdullilah, the men in my family are all very satisfied with being committed to their one wife and very much in love. In fact, it is those men who are focused on reaching a higher spiritual connection with Allah don't obsess about seeking to fulfill their bodily needs. Most of their energy is spent on an intellectual pursuit, not about base desires.
Islam is a sex positive religion. Lust is not something bad in Islam, let's not forget that. Halal sex is considered as worship and gets rewarded. It is even promised in Paradise. No other religion is like Islam when it comes to sex.

Brothers TORTURING their wives that they will get another wife if she doesn’t clean or isn’t enough is a horrible sin… less than 1% of the world gets a second wife. So everyone chill and enjoy your spouse. Fear Allah and stop torturing each other. If you don’t want a husband who wants lots of wives than when you ask him BEFORE marriage then don’t marry him
Honestly I wonder what is the real intention behind these type of videos. Here in the uk all I have personally seen with men pushing 4 polygamy is a rise in divorce and increasingly young Muslim women marrying non Muslim men. There are so many issues facing muslims whether here in the West or in Muslim nation least of which is lack human rights in so many Muslim countries and yet all I constantly see is this obsession with polygamy. Sad, no wonder the ummah is the state it's in.
i think the main reason why a lot of women including myself are scared of polygamy is bc of the fear of mistreatment, abandonment, emotional replacement (even if theyre still married), and losing the support and presence of their husband esp if kids are involved, and tht creates a sense of self-consciousness, insecurity, extreme ghirah, and feelings of threat to their sense of security, and theres not a lot of men who can fulfill these things for even one wife, especially here in the west, so even if you tell them that the husband wants another wife, it has nothing to do with the first wife, and that its just in his nature, polygamy would still seem completely out of the question 😞 im already scared of marriage in the first place bc of the fears of mistreatment, and yeah theres some women who could care less about those things and some who just want a lavish lifestyle and the money to do the things she wants, but for those who value quality time and acts of service more, polygamy is a very difficult thing to understand and agree to partake in :( however i understand that theres a wisdom behind it and that Allah is Al Hakim, so im not against the concept in general, but i think it would cause me so much emotional distress to the point where it would be detrimental to my health :/ like for me to even consider polygamy, he would have to be extremely exceptional in akhlaaq and character, strives to be as pious as possible, has taqwa in all aspects of his life, fulfills my rights and our kids' rights (fulfilling his rights and me practicing these things as well goes without saying), and is financially well off to where money would not be an issue for supporting all those he is responsible for... idk man الله المستعان
I’m 42 married with kids and fear this myself even though my Huby would never marry a second due to varied reasons but it even makes me insecure never mind the fear of my two teen daughters. I will ensure I educate my kids so if they are not happy in a situation or place they can leave. Life is to precious and life is hard enough without adding an extra mix but I do agree polgmny sorts wider issues out but causes internal issues I think
Women dont want to be Jealous+poor&mistreated. Jealousy itself can make you very sick so it has to be the Man who is very very kind and very sweet. I didnt saw such! Oh by the way i live in the Middle East Sister. Dont think the Men here are doing better. Its worse cause my Husband worked with charity Organisation and he had to help Women whom their Husbands left them to starve for 2. Wife and one Woman had a Dying Son...his father put all Money to the new Wife. My best Friend is in Polygyny and her Husband tells Brothers most Men arent for this Lifestyle and its exhausting.

I'm expecting our first and one thing I was told is that extreme stress can even force the mother's body to miscarry the baby. Wallahi that kind of stress during pregnancy is absolutely horrifying. I even cry if my husband is stuck in a meeting and i have to eat dinner alone lol. Completely irrational but that's what baby hormones do to you. Oh and I'm definitely the quality time type over money anyday 😂

Being married to a second, third or fourth wife is a responsibility and not a right and most men unfortunately fail to realise this fact. Let’s not sugar coat this as “men are the way they are” because if done for greed and not being able to control their gaze nor desires then the consequences are dire such as weight gain, receding hairline, stress, illness and much more as I have seen many cases of men marrying multiple women and a few years later looking and living in dire conditions. Masha Allah guys. Really enjoyed this. It’s a REALISTIC commentary on a delicate issue. If we continue having the conversation in the manner you two did, more sisters will be more open to the idea. In the end, Allah knows best. He’s put our religion in place to show us the best way to Jannah. It’s not always going to be easy. But instead of constantly striving for “happiness” we should strive for contentment, which is acceptance of what Allah has given us in this life, and we should have happy thoughts of our reward in Jannah for remaining faith to him in hard times.
It took me a while to understand polygamy and not have a hatred towards due to personal reasons. I’m okay with it now but I also feel like it’s important to put your family first, if your wife is not okay with it, and you have children just know your wife may not show her emotions to you but she will to her kids. That’s how the hatred between the wives reach the kids. Polygamy is a practice that a lot of men want and that’s fine just make sure the environment is not a toxic one where the wives hate each other.
The wives also has a role to play in order to keep the peace. They don’t need to be besties, but at least treat each other with respect as a fellow Muslim sister. Respect the other co-wife’s time and not talk bad is a good starting point.
Also a Muslim man can have concubines too if he is surrounded by concubines and can't get a wife. You can get as many concubines as you want according to my shaykh.

This has to be sarcasm otherwise I can’t listen any further 😢 if every man is supposed to have four wives by default then that means many men would be single so you’re understanding of the religion is totally flawed! Men and women are equal in numbers according to today’s statistics!
This is something I noticed people like farid, Gabriel, ali drama etc never adress which is in a healthy society the ration of men to women is 50/50 even if a small fraction take more than one wife never mind 3 or 4 that will mean millions of men won't be able to get married. Millions of single men spell trouble and instability in society I suppose that's why so many Arab and African countries are unstable since they have historically practised polygamy.
Also _“men and women are equal in number”_ is false. Remember Muslim women can ONLY marry Muslim men, while Muslim men can marry any woman of the Book. So there are a lot more options for us.
Because the Sahaba grew up with Islam, right? Right? 😂🤦🤦🤦 Obey Allahs orders for the sake of Allah. The Sahaba completely and utterly changed their lives from what they were raised upon.
Women out there have an open mind keeping a man happy all the time is toooo exhausting. A lot of women can’t find suitable men. All you have to do is keep your jealousy in check. On the flip side it takes a lot of courage resources and super smartness to handle multiple wives. But it’s a solution for so many social issues if both sides focus on pleasing Allah and keep their minds and hearts open.
I would love there to be a solid community properly supporting women who are willing and want to participate in polygamous marriages. There are of course many fears, some other posters already alluded to them. I believe entirely that women need to support one another to make these marriages work well for everyone. Alhumdullilah. I truly believe that polygamy, as a woman, gives me the chance to be part of a larger family than I could build with just myself.
