Not ONE vehicle manufacturer is working on the longevity of a vehicle,or security. They don't care ,as long as mugs buy new ones that's it . Money in ,trash out the door .
I really want to thank everyone so much for watching this and those who have contacted me. Unfortunately the situation has got worse as the hire van ford gave me was broken into and now @ford want £500 from me for damages something that wasn't even my fault. Back in April of this year, during a service I was told I needed a new timing belt on my custom. I was told not to drive it. I needed to get it home, but booked it in ASAP. On the morning it was due to be done, I had a call saying they could not do it as Ford had quarantined all parts relating to timing belt changes. My van was off the road for two months hiring vans at my own expense and eventually had to do it on my driveway. I wouldn't buy another Ford for as long as I live.
I definitely won't be buying another Ford again. They just actually couldn't care less. If I ran a business with their attitude well I wouldn't be running a business anymore. What van did you go for now?
@eastrenewables that's a shame that as I know how frustrated I was trying to work with how they were with me. I've decided to keep it and run it into the ground whereby I will go for a lease again. Have you tried the motor ombudsman? They were no use for me but they might help you.
Thank the Lord I got a pure diesel version. I see another problem for when you get it back (if you do) With all the crap they've taken off it you'd really have to wonder if it will ever be the same vehicle again?
If I was you, mate, I'll get time to keep the Van and enjoy reading the best vans around Renault traffic's are if you buy your own van, run a traffic, you can do what you want to eat, then put a roof rack on it and put a toe bar on it if you. It certainly makes you feel that way. I think Ford made such a bad implementation of it in this vehicle. It's their customer service that I feel is worse than the vehicle itself
Ive always bought Ford commercials from the mk5 transit up to date … but im honestly thinking they’ve forgotten how to build vans. With the irritating design errors to the 2.0 engine with the daft wet belt system. And now the loony price of the new custom. Its disappointing
I am in the same boat with an Isuzu grafter waiting 6-8weeks for a replacement gearbox I've no replacement so am having to pay £500 a week to hire a van both local dealers are useless. I just think companies don't give a shit anymore
Your entitled to reject the van as its not fit for purpose and receive a full refund and claim for any money you may of lost and paid out. You can also take them to small claims court which is easy and cheap to do
Sorry @andyadogs it was and still is an unfolding story Ford hasn't come up with a resolution and I still don't have my van or a replacement. If the story ever does come to a conclusion then I will try and do a brief summary of it all.

They drawing it out as long as they can. Ford customer services don't even answer questions you ask them. Supposed to be coming back to me by today but no response so far so unlikely to hear from them today now
